The location was a short drive to Catherdral Cove. The view of the water from the balcony at sunset was beautiful. Check-in was very easy, and the staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and clean. I would highly recommend staying here and wish we stayed longer.

The view is amazing. The apartment located away from the main house is beautifully decorated. It is a dream location and just 5 minutes drive away from Whitianga. The hosts were very nice and very discreet. We enjoyed the quietness and the beauty of the place. The 3 days that we spent there were a dream part of our vacation

Wairua Lodge is set in a wonderfully secluded spot in the rainforest, where peace and quiet is the order of the day. The hosts are very friendly, presenting us with home baked bread and supplies for our breakfasts on arrival, helpful and respectful. This is a place where you can have as much physical activity and/or relaxation activity with relaxing spa, tree top bath, swim in the swimming holes and hikes for all abilities. You do need to bring some cooking supplies for main meals which can be prepared on the BBQ or in the resort kitchen.

Exceptional place to stay. Right on the water and the ferry is a stones throw away over to Whitianga. The rooms are great with comfy beds. Theres a walking track close by as well and free parking is offered. The owners are welcoming and have great advice on where to go in the area.

Harry and Shirley are the perfect hosts. This was by far our favorite place to stay on a month long trip to NZ. There was not a thing that did not exceed our expectations. There is covered parking, a blessing on rainy days, the refrigerator was stuffed with basic and gourmet foods including beer and wine as well as a big bowl of fruit. We loved the two good sized sofas for relaxing and TV viewing and the table and chairs for meals. There were sufficient electrical outlets to keep all of our electronics charged. The property is surrounded by native bush, so bird life was plentiful. I truly cannot fault a thing. Thanks to both of you!

The accommodation was clean, well-kept and had everything one could need. The owner has the cutest golden retriever that our dog enjoyed playing with. The accommodation is walking distance from Hahei beach and lovely eating establishments such as Little Blue Kitchen and The Poor House. 10 mins drive from Hot Water Beach as well. A really nice spot. I would definitely come again.
