Peaceful location, walkable distance to the Parque Arqueologico amid coffee farms and such. Greeted by numerous pets and the charming owners, Armando and Amparo, who were attentive to our needs and did well to deal with our imperfect Spanish. We stayed in an freestanding cottage built mostly by Armando with impressive materials, craftsmanship and taste. It was a homey experience; we would happily have stayed longer.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Cabaña El Trebol offers pet-friendly accommodation in San Agustin. Free private parking is available on site. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. This place was separate from the rest of the Trebol complex, and sits on its own large plot of land on a dirt road. Very quiet and with a great view. We didn't mind the colored, mineral laiden potable water, nor the host bats living in the roof. Just more of the natural beauty

Akawanka Lodge is surrounded by the natural landscapes of San Agustín. Its convenient location allows guests to enjoy less than 10 minutes' walk to nearby parks and museums. Beautiful rooms and exceptional gardens in a relatively peaceful location looking over San Augustin. It even has its own tiny but beautiful chapel. Enjoying a beer on our private balcony watching humming birds darting around the flowers in the late afternoon is a great memory. The restaurant was simple but excellent with very friendly staff. The weather allowed is to eat outside for both breakfast and dinner with lovely views. Their laundry service was very quick and efficient.

Absolutely fantastic property but you need to have the right expectations. The water and electricity are scarce. The accomodation is rustic and has open holes close to the roof so creepy crawlies can be encountered and obviously sound proofing is not the best. But the location is incredible, very close to the "red zone" of Tatacoa and the observatories. Our cottages were spotless and the hotel is well maintained and secure. The food was delicious and we enjoyed hanging out in the open restaurant having a few beers at night. The value for money was excellent and we would definitely visit again.
