Extras include a minibar, a DVD player and cable channels. Our family of 5 stayed at Peace Lodge for our last night in Costa Rica. It was the most expensive accommodation of our holiday but the nightly rate includes entry to La Paz Waterfall Gardens and the animal and butterfly sanctuary so we felt it was worth it. It is also only a short drive from San Jose airport which was very convenient. We did the evening animal feeding tour and night frog tour which were both amazing - the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys also caught sone trout in the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our family room was gorgeous with its balcony jacuzzi and lovely views. We had a delicious evening meal with great service in the main restaurant and had the buffet lunch the next day before departing for the airport, which was plentiful, delicious and surprisingly great value for money. All the staff were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and we felt very spoiled throughout our stay.

There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchenette complete with a fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware. The property has an outdoor dining area. Beautiful property. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the outdoor cooking area and we truly felt surrounded by the jungle. Lots of lovely touches within the property- water in a cooler/ fridge/ outdoor cooking area/ helpful booklet on surrounding area and lovely decor. The water stopped working which was not an issue as our hosts resolved the problem immediately we notified them.

Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the river and garden. Such beautiful accommodation and location. The lodge has a huge veranda overlooking a river. From the verandah we saw fire flies, iguanas, howler monkeys and humming birds. Absolutely incredible. We are in Costa Rica for a month and so far this is our favourite place that we have stayed.
