The accommodation was so comfortable, clean, and cosy. The location was great to explore the area, being close to everything we wanted to do. Katherine was so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable and ensured all our needs were met. The fresh eggs provided for breakfast were delicious and such a lovely touch. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of exploring. Our dogs also had a great time and enjoyed the outdoor space which was fenced off for them.

Breakfast and other meals at the Village Rest Restaurant were excellent. The hosts and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The property is in very good order and kept clean. There are 3 garden benches in gardens around the property and a private decking area to the rear with tables & chairs.

A beautiful location, quiet and secluded but a short drive from Dunoon and any services you need. Lying in bed watching red squirrels playing was a first for me. I've been to lots of remote locations around Scotland and this was the most red squirrels I've ever seen in one place.

Really comfortable and cosy lodge, in an ideal location to explore the surrounding areas. Great facilities within, the wood-burning stove is a real treat and was a lovely place to relax after being out and about. Couldn't fault Hawthorn as a place to stay and would happily do so again.
