The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful location with its own private beach, offering the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. Every meal was exceptional—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. Our fist meal the evening we arrived was grilled stuffed King Prawns!! One unforgettable detail: while dining, we watched black-tip reef sharks and moray eels gliding beneath us in the water, It was like dining in an aquarium. The staff went above and beyond. When my wife wasn’t feeling well, they brought her meals to her in bed and even made her a soothing homemade ginger tea. Their kindness and attention made all the difference. Special thanks to Bridget, the owner, who was always around and ready to help with anything we needed. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. As for the diving—absolutely world class. We experienced so many unforgettable moments, including a giant manta ray that hovered above us—a true bucket list moment! Even snorkeling just off the beach was incredible. We genuinely loved everything about our stay. If you're looking for unspoiled beauty, amazing marine life, top-notch service, and unforgettable diving, Tabari Dive Lodge is the place to go. We’re already planning our return! We stayed at the Swiss Belhotel before and after Tabari, it's a perfect transit hotel, clean and convenient. If you would like to discover the area, hiking, fishing and snorkelling are possible in the surroundings. We stayed a week at the truly fantastic Methos homestay! This place is beyond words incredible. The bungalows over the water are the best ones we’ve stayed at during our month long Raja Ampat travels. They are equiped with everything needed to make your stay as perfect as needed: shelves, hooks, potable water, a (big!) and soft mattress, plenty of power plugs, coffee, thee, a huge terras overlooking the ocean, directly facing the never ending sunset. Right in front, the housereef provides you with all the goods: even a pod of dolphins passed by one morning. The manta’s are only just a 10 minute boatride away. The food is fantastic and the staff so friendly. There is not a thing we could possibly say that didn’t exceed our expectations. An Italian, Asian or vegetarian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. Just enjoyed six nights at Aldejus, diving each day with Tarzan Diving. Aldejus is a lovely homestay with friendly staff and excellent service. There are en suite western bathrooms with hot and cold running water - unusual for the area - good beds, fans and power from 6pm to 6am. Food is excellent and quite varied with fish, chicken, vegetables, fruit and more. The staff will make packed lunches on request for all-day trips. Cold beer and soft drinks are available but do bring anything else you want to drink e.g. sugar free soda and tonic water both of which are difficult to source in Papua. The island itself and Friwen village are quiet and peaceful, and pleasant to walk around. The friendly owner will help arrange transport from Sorong airport and various other activities during your stay e.g. snorkeling, birdwatching etc
