Location was unreal. Bit of a trek to the property but well worth it. The staff were kind and helpful. Went Jungle trekking with Robin and Ivan, and they were both amazing. Food was delicious!

Majapaikan kautta järjestyi kaikki, viidakkoretki ja kuljetukset Medanin lentokentältä Bukit Lawangiin sekä seuraavaan kohteeseemme Lake Toballe. Meillä oli viihtyisä huone, jonka parvekkeelta näkyi joelle. Heillä oli joen rannassa myös ravintola, jossa saimme nauttia todella maukasta ruokaa. Suosittelemme ehdottomasti maistamaan Tempe Rendangia täällä, se oli todella maukasta. Tuoreet hedelmämehut olivat myös loistavia! Extremely friendly staff make you feel at home. It's a beautiful setting right next to the river. I did the 1 day jungle trek with guides Juri and Rudi who were both extremely capable and knowledgeable about the area.

Initially booked for 1 night and then stayed for another 3! They have options of staying in the village or in the jungle, a tree house. I picked the latter. The place is simple and Udin's family that runs the place is amazing. Balu (Udin's son) was our trekking guide for the day and he was amazing. We saw 3 orangutans (a mama and a baby, and a lone one) along with other monkeys. Udin's wife Nuri cooks the food and every meal was lip smacking delicious. I was happy to be eating home food after my travels. On my last night in the village, Nuri was nice enough to give me a chicken rendang cooking class in her kitchen and then we ate the same dish with the entire family. All in all, if you're doing a Bukit Lawang trip it has to be with this family, or else are you really getting the authentic experience?

Situated in Bukit Lawang, On The Rocks Bungalows, Restaurant and Jungle Trekking Tours - From May to September only stay here if you are booking jungle treks with us - feel free to contact us about... We were treated like family at on the rocks, wawan and his team were so helpful and friendly that we instantly felt at home. I cannot recommend staying here enough. We did multiple treks with Wong and he was wonderful, so much information to share but also never even felt like he was a guide. Treks can be suited for your fitness level but you are almost guaranteed to see orangutans no matter where you go. The restaurant was also delicious.

Situated in Bukit Lawang, Ecolodge Bukit Lawang features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. the staffs are great. they are very helpful. the location is great if you like nature. there is no aircon in the room, but we sleep comfortably. don't forget the insect repellant. it's nature after all. you can't avoid insects especially moquitoes.

Brown Bamboo Guest house & jungle trekking orang-utan has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Bukit Lawang. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with garden views. We loved our stay here! The bed was super comfortable, everything was nice and clean, there’s good wifi, the food at the restaurant was very good…. we had all we asked for. But what we liked most was the attention of the family. They all helped us in all we needed and made it very easy. It is a small guest house with a few rooms only, which makes it very calm, but anyways they were able to exceed all our expectations. From arranging the orangutan tour, all transportations, hive us food when needed, do laundry, paying with credit card and even give us a scooter. Thank you for your kindness!
