Location: Amazing scenery on the river right next to the jungle. You find total peace here while having everything you need in walking distance. Rooms: Beautiful, new wooden villas with a lovely and authentic design - incredible views from the terrace included. Also very comfy mattresses. Restaurant: A cosy, roofed terrace overlooking the river. Enjoy a delicious selection of local food while soaking up the peaceful riverviews. Make sure you try the Chicken Rendang and the Banana Chocolate Springrolls. Sooooo good! What else? What makes beautiful place even more special is Tia and her team. Tia is the soul of Rambai Tree and is such a caring and warmhearted person who will do everything possible to have a memorable stay. She was always available whenever i needed something and it was always great to have a chat with her. Tia also organized a jungle tour for me, which was an incredible experience. It was great that I did Not have to take care of anything. You can even tell her what you expect from your guide- if you would like to have a fun and entertaining guide who makes sure you won’t get bored or someone calm to just get Professional i nformation about the jungle and enjoy the peace of nature. A big thank you and I hope I can come back to this magical place someday 🌴

The location next to the jungle, the grounds are beautiful, the bungalows are nice. All the people here were very helpful and friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Robin and his auntie took great care of us at the restaurant, and the food was excellent and a very reasonable price. Dedy booked us on a jungle trek with excellent tour guides. Kindal, Kling, our cook and raft guide, Wanda, all made sure we had a great overnight trek. Saw lots of Orangutans and 4 types of monkeys. Robin also showed us Orangutans, and we saw monkeys on the property.

We arrive at midnight, the owner was super kind, welcome us in a happy and warm mood, we had a late diner at their restaurant, their homemade curry. This is not a joke, it was one of the most tasty and delicious curry in our life. The lodge was super super clean, bed was confortable, sleeped well.

They arrange everything so well and take such good care of you, from the airport to your stay at the Garden Inn and especially during the jungle trekking. We did the two days one night trekking with Jerry, Rudy & Abdi. The guides are very funny, knowledgeable about everything and Abdi’s food was amazing! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team. Had the best time here. Initially booked for 1 night and then stayed for another 3! They have options of staying in the village or in the jungle, a tree house. I picked the latter. The place is simple and Udin's family that runs the place is amazing. Balu (Udin's son) was our trekking guide for the day and he was amazing. We saw 3 orangutans (a mama and a baby, and a lone one) along with other monkeys. Udin's wife Nuri cooks the food and every meal was lip smacking delicious. I was happy to be eating home food after my travels. On my last night in the village, Nuri was nice enough to give me a chicken rendang cooking class in her kitchen and then we ate the same dish with the entire family. All in all, if you're doing a Bukit Lawang trip it has to be with this family, or else are you really getting the authentic experience?

The most beautiful people i ever stayed with And beautiful room with an amazing atmosphere Quite and peaceful,the bed so comfortable the bathroom with really nice decorations and good shower and it was super clean and well decorated.To get to this bungalow really easy access and you can get something good in super market (indomaret)just about 5 minute away with scooter, The view of the ricefield and the green surrounding is just what I looking for. They organize my jungle trekking with the best guide (jipur,aji and bagus)for 3 days 2 night Which is so great and fun So much knowledge of the jungle,animals and medical plants. We stayed for 3 nights in Bukit Lawang and we loved everything about it. Teddy is a great guide, I highly recommend booking the jungle trekking with him. We went for 2 days trekking and saw a lot of wildlife like orangutans, different types of monkeys, birds etc. The tour includes everything you need, you don’t have to worry about anything. The accommodation is nice and cozy, great location and really good value for what you get.
