We spent a wonderful night there. However, you have to drive on a gravel road for 30 mins. But it is worth to do that.

The property is in a gorgeous location overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Lots of options for hiking and sightseeing nearby. Cozy and comfortable cabin had everything we needed. I’m so glad that we booked 2 nights - you’ll regret leaving after just one night. We didn’t see the lake monster, but did have beautiful aurora borealis shows both nights. This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip around Iceland.

Really beautiful property in a very nice, remote location. Super clean, nice kitchen, comfortable beds. Everything you are looking for after an exhausting day. And very spacious!!

I want to start with saying that owner of the property is amazing. We called in to check on couple things and he was able to call local staff and checkin on the space Next the space was magical, it felt really homy! Even thou it was just my partner and I who stayed in the space (which was nice); I could see this space being filled with people who interact by laughing and story telling! The man who was taking care of the space helped us with settling in during the evening (showing up on a last minute booking) and gave us really good suggestions for our trip through the north of Iceland! Overall even though we are not knowledgeable of the finishing and hunting, this space was just a perfect one for us to stay and enjoy.
