Set in Hakuba in the Nagano region, with Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort nearby, Hakuba Third Place Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Akira and his family/staff could not have been more welcoming hosts. Akira personally picked us up from the bus station to bring us to the lodge and gave us a tour on arrival. We were able to check in early and hit the slopes at Goryu (<10 min walk). Hakuba Third Place Lodge’s private onsen was heavenly - we used it every day after snowboarding and it was never close to booked up. The room was clean, beautiful, spacious for what we paid and had great natural light. There was a cozy communal lounge space to play card games or watch shows that we actually took advantage of due to the welcoming atmosphere. The breakfasts were also great - my girlfriend is vegetarian, and they went out of their way to find a protein-filled replacement for the meat portion of the breakfast. Akira also gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us book our return bus to Tokyo, and even checked with another local before leaving us at the bus station to confirm we were at the right part of the station. I would have paid twice the amount in the United States for half the service we got here. I hope to be lucky enough to visit Hakuba again and stay at Third Place Lodge. I will be encouraging all my friends and family to stay here if they visit

Set in Nozawa Onsen, 22 km from Ryuoo Ski Park and 33 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, 野沢温泉ロッヂ offers mountain views and free WiFi. Right next to the gondola and skii rental shop. Wake up and hop on the skiis.

Located in Hakuba, 12 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area, Hakuba Amber Resort by Jade Group offers accommodation with a hot tub. The pictures don't do it justice. We were at the two bedroom house and the view, the furnishing and the decorations were breathtaking! Also there's 2.5 baths instead of 2 as advertised. The location is perfect - about 10 minute walk to the restaurants. However what really made our stay so memorable was the service team. They felt like family and were super responsive to every request on WhatsApp. From restaurant and onsen suggestions to helping us book tables. They sent their own car in a snow storm to rescue us from cortina when all taxis cancelled on us. Words can't describe our appreciation and thank you for making our annual family trip so perfect.

Located in Kiso in the Nagano region, Pension Kaoru provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The hosts were super nice. The food they prepared was delicious and the accommodation felt really cozy. We were only there for one night but could definitely imagine staying longer. Thank you for the great stay!

Ski in and out Very near to some of the lifts and gondola of Happo-One Delicious breakfast kind and sweet staff. The family running the business is adorable . The lift with the car from the happo bus terminal was very convenient. Room was very warm and comfortable . Thanks a lot I hope to come back soon ❤️ Nice ski room . There is everything you need very comfortable . I will miss you 🙏

Le Bocage – Hakuba Echoland Chalets are situated in Echoland, a popular nightlife site where more than 30 bars and restaurants can be found. The property offers free in-room WiFi and on-site parking. Location and the chalet is nice

Just a 2 minute walk from Happo-One's Kokusai Slope ski lift and a 5-minute walk from Happo-One Ski Resort (Gondola) and Happo Village, Hakuba Landmark Happo Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi.... Breakfast was good. Nice lounge. Excellent location steps from the hill. Hosts were friendly and helped give us rides. Room was big and spacious. Shower and tub in the washroom. NIce 80s charm while being in excellent condition

Set 22 km from Ryuoo Ski Park in Nozawa Onsen, Marushige offers accommodation with air conditioning and free WiFi. The lodge offers an American or Asian breakfast. I loved everything here. Usually lodge has only Japanese futon in tatami room but we slept comfortably in bed. Breakfast was tasty and hospitality was incredible. They also have sauna 😍

Set in Chino, ノマの森 Nomanomori B&B offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a bar. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.
