From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved our stay here. If you're looking for a beautiful, eco-friendly retreat created and run by people who genuinely care about the environment, this is the place for you. Fred, the owner, built this Ecolodge himself with a clear mission: to be 100% sustainable. Every aspect of the property reflects that goal—everything is green, circular, and thoughtfully designed. The lodge is impressively clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The rooms are spacious, freshly renovated, and each comes with its own private bathroom. We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!

Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

The Mangrove is ideal for a family or friends staycation. The cabins are tucked in a mangrove forest, and each can fit up to 5-6 pax. The beach is just right in front of the place with the cabins overlooking the beach itself. You can park your cars literally in front of the cabins. The owner is super friendly as well! The inside of the cabin is clean and cosy. Each cabin comes with a balcony furnished with tables and chairs, a barbecue pits, and a sink - perfect for your barbecue night! We brought our own portable stove and did some light cooking for breakfast. The wind from the sea is chilling, and you can enjoy the night enjoying the breeze while barbecuing and having some drinks.

Really good food!!! :D The owner and staff are amazing! They were very lovely and even made us homemade donuts on the house!! The lodge is very spacious and comfy! We also rented a motorbike which was in very good condition. Absolutely recommend the place! 11/10 :D !!!

It has very beautiful view of half sea, half forest on level 30. The host was responsive, reply quick message made the communication easy. It located in a very good location, easy to get around and very close to the jetty to the islands.

Nachází se na vrcholu 100 metrů kopce s výhledem na přírodní rezervaci Kinabatangan, Last Frontier Boutique Resort se nachází v Bilitu, 2 hodiny jízdy od krásného Sandakanu. We were very glad to have spent three beautiful days and two nights in this cabin. What impressed me most was the food here every day. It was so delicious and very professional. Jason showed great care to every guest and remembered everyone's preferences, making us feel at home. Moreover, Jason is proficient in multiple languages, which is amazing. During our communication with him, we also gained a deeper understanding of the land we came to, and he provided us with many suggestions for our future travels in Southeast Asia. Every day we were looking forward to what animals we would encounter the next day. There were gains as well as regrets. We saw many kinds of hornbills and proboscis monkeys, and also had two close encounters with the orangutans living near the cabin. But does this mean there will be a next time and the time after that? It was a great experience and we will come again. Wish TheLast Frontier all the best.

Amazing view with balcony overlooking southern mountains and hills from my room. Tidy & clean, with a decent restaurant on-site so not necessary to drive out to eat. Toiletries are sufficient. Thoughtful details in the room. Pleasantly surprised to find this in such a location.
