The Afro-chic rooms at Immanuel Wilderness Lodge are fitted with a private bathroom and tea-and-coffee making facilities. The beds are draped with a mosquito net. Linen and towels are provided. Well located just north of Windhoek, so it made our long drive to Etosha the next day that little bit shorter. The staff were a highlight, very friendly and even though we arrived late (we'd had two flat tires that day) they took great care of us and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, with different types of Namibian cheeses, local types of game meat and a nice warm plate as well. There are tortoises and springboks wandering around which was a welcome surprise. The rooms are basic, but perfectly comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious and well prepared by the staff. Staff were very welcoming and present and always ready to help (found us a hair dryer, gave advice on surrounding area, always friendly). Room was in a separate cabin which was nice and quiet. Views were amazing. Location great for early day in Windhoek.

The lodge offers an à la carte or continental breakfast. This is a beautiful property outside of Windhoek and a great place to stay if being in the city doesn’t capture your interest. The staff, especially in the restaurant, are wonderful, and the chalets are really beautiful, with comfortable beds, lots of pillows, a spacious shower, and a cool vibe. There are two hikes you can do affording you the chance to see some animals if you are lucky - I saw some giraffe and a herd of wildebeest. Animals can be found on the property too, particularly at night.
