It's a gem we want to return to! :)

Excellent retreat, clean air, away from the noise and very private. A nice wooden cabin with ping pong table, a large tv. Spacious outdoor area with huge trees and a river in the back garden. Owner is helpful. You can cook/barbecue or order takeaway. 10 minutes drive to alpine coaster/outdoor swimming pool/horseriding. Nice place, nice views, would like to go back for sure

Very friendly and warm welcoming. The cabin's fireplace was already on when we arrived. Plenty of parking for 2/3 cars.
We liked our stay at Hotel Piatra Mare. The hotel is about 30 mins walk from the gondola lifts but they offer free shuttle for guests which is very useful. The driver, Attila is a nice and helpful man. After a long day on the slopes you can enjoy the wet or dry sauna, salt cabin and the pool as well. We were very happy with the breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant which was included in the price.
Picture this: It’s snowing! You are at this cozy chalet. The river from the backyard is frozen. You take few rides with the sleigh on the road. Then, you go inside and you warm up near the fireplace and listen to the burning woods sound. If you enjoy this kind of experience, then this is the perfect place to go!
Montecrai is the definition of 10 for self catering chalet stay. We could not ask for more. Lovely as always. Plus, this time we enjoyed the barbecue area and the cosy fireplace. Adding autumn as perfect season to visit along summer, for this place. Waiting for snow to try also winter :) Must say we also truly appreciated the freshly ground arabica coffee every morning, confirming the high quality of our stay.
We stayed in a ‘chalet’ (a little wooden hut) and it was very clean, cosy and comfortable. The toilet & shower facilities were very clean too. The area surrounding the campsite is just beautiful and there are many things to do. Fantastic value for money, I would definitely come here again.
