The owner and manager Fabian is amazing. He loves the property and is extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area. If your are looking to just relax thst is great but if your want to explore the area he knows all the great locations and trails. The area is being modernized, but many of the locals only speak Romanian. Fabian however is fluent in english (and perhaps other languages) and is always willing to help translate. He even relayed my dinner orders to a local restaurant, so when I arrived the food was already made and the transaction was easy and smooth. Overall my stay at Tiarra mountain lodge was a wonderful experience and a highlight of my time in Romania.

The chalet has family rooms. Everything. The chalet was super clean (and I have high standards), perfectly equipped, and we had everything we needed. The owner was really nice and welcoming. The price is more than fair for what we have received. Definitely will recommend others to come, and hope to get a chance to come back!

One of the best accomodation you can find in Romania. ❤️ Even in January, the scenery is simply amazing. Heating comes from AC and an electric heater and it's perfect. Actually, you'll need to chill the cabin, it's very well thermally insulated. You have hot water even at the outdoor sink. Good WIFI.
