We stayed for 4 nights. The lodge is very cozy and well equipped. Especially in winter it is the perfect location to come home to after an outdoor adventure. We really enjoyed our stay. Also the hosts are very nice and attentive with any question.

The bed was very comfortable and modern with elevation that you can adjust and watch the nice view of the lake from your bed. The owners Cecilia and Mikael where very nice and helpful with everything we needed. We loved it and sure we will be back.

The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

In the lounge bar you can sit and relax in front of the fireplace. The fact that it is in the park means you are away from light pollution for the Aururoas, and all other day activities. Staff was so friendly and has a.very laid back vibe.too

Buffet and continental breakfast options are available at the lodge. The breakfast was wonderful - one of the best we have had, so was the location and the little huts we stayed at. We loved spotting old and injured reindeer on our way in. There was a communal kitchen for everyone to use, which went well beyond my expectations + communal sauna and jacuzzi which we had a chance to enjoy. Combined with polar days, it was perfect.

We went for ice fishing and chasing the aurora at the night with snowmobile, for sure a life time experience! Stephan was really helpful, a great guide and ana even better storyteller! He knew exactly the places and the right time we should go for seeing the aurora! Thank you very much :)) The room was clean, warm and as seen in the pictures.

Aurora Camp Kurravaara offers a range of accommodation from simple cabins and cottages without running water, to unique glass huts and private fully equipped cabins. In the summer Aurora Camp Kurravaara also offers tree tents. Bed linen and towels are always included. One of the best places we've ever stayed. Main disclaimer is you absolutely need a car to stay here. If you are not renting a car, stay closer to town. We had a car and intentionally booked a place outside of town that would give us greater visibility of the aurora. The location of this property is unlike any other. You can go on hikes to see the lights at all hours of the night and you get 360 degree views of the sky if you walk out onto the lake. The wilderness left cabin was equipped with everything we could ever need. Warm, comfortable beds, great shower facility and best of all was our private sauna. The staff was extremely helpful when we struggled making a fire for the sauna. I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to return someday!
