Our stay was faultless! What a perfect getaway location, not too far from civilisation, but far enough! Very well kitted out accommodation - we had everything we needed. Comfy and cozy and beautifully presented. Hot tub at night where we could just spend hours stargazing was the perfect end to the day.

Lovely hosts - very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and what to see. Nice cosy little cottage with all the kitchen necessities cleverly fit into a small space. The range offered for breakfast was very thoughtful and a really nice touch.

Delightful cottage, a warm little fire; the ensuite rooms were delightful, and what a view! Just a lovely taste of rural northern England. The owners are delightful and showed us the cows and left us some fabulous shortbread. Yum!

There are bird tables out front and back and food in a tin to feed them which was lovely. The cottage was very clean and cosy. Ideal location for a walking holiday. Plenty to do in the area. Hadrian's wall, a leisure center in town with tennis and swimming, an aqueduct and old railway walk which will take you through some beautiful countryside, farm land and even an old prisoner of war camp with buildings still standing.
