Panoramic views of the Rub al Khali Desert can be admired from this 4-star resort’s infinity pool and furnished terrace. Tilal Liwa has spacious, well-furnished rooms featuring an Arabian-style décor.... We love the big breakfast, the staff was very helpful the services of the hotel where all perfect and the surrounding areas are just magic.
Our purpose for visiting that part of UAE was to see Tal Moreib and we chose Madinat Zayed as our overnight stop. It's a very quiet, laid back town, specially for residents of Dubai. Lots of open space alongside the roads, some with grass. Ideal for an evening walk (which we enjoyed after years). There were no fast food places except one outlet each of KFC and Pizza Hut (not even in their one big Mall) . It's an ideal place for family bonding and quality time with kids.
Food isn’t fresh. Lunch is way overpriced for what it is. Shisha isn’t good. Isolation of the rooms isn’t good - you hear everything that’s happening in your neighbors’ room. Staff isn’t so happy to help. Outdoor areas aren’t clean. The pool is nice. You get out with nice pictures for your Instagram account only. Better places are available in dubai. I wouldn’t recommend this one.
The hotel is just right for an overnight stay specific to people looking for a day to breakthrough the hustle bustle of the city.. however it does not offer activities for children and they tend to get bored easily. The buffet wasn't great either. I don't consider this a value for money
Before coming to Madinat Zahid I checked other 2-3 nearby hotels personally by visiting them , but Tilal Liwa hotel was the best choice in terms of everything , indefinitely coming back again! You can find good groceries and supermarkets as well as some dining places in town if you don't want to stay in the hotel all the time - it's just 10-15 mins drive
the sand dunes near by can be perfect for children and families to have more fun but must be aware with desert driving on 4wd car. few public parks and garden is around the hotel and free area for children to play. the local restaurants behind the city mall is serving traditional food with many choices. sports and tourists attractive activities available by advance booking but I recommend the festival time during the end of the year.
Did not like: 1. Bars, beverage selection 2. Prices excluding all taxes (be ready to add 20% to mentioned amount) 3. Prices higher than in Dubai 5 star hotels 4. Desert view is view to interlock and palm trees (kind of backyard)
We love the big breakfast, the staff was very helpful the services of the hotel where all perfect and the surrounding areas are just magic.
Very welcoming environment; friendly staff.
