Located in Five Islands Village, Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa - All Inclusive has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Food was lovely and good choice. We didn't try any restaurants as only one night stay. The staff were very accommodating throughout. The location is secluded, but we were working in St John's so had a little drive. However, all the beach hotels are away from town. The beach itself was beautiful and sunset was a pleasure. We were given a lovely swim out room which was not expected and a nice surprise. The pools looked lovely but we didn't get chance to use as a working trip. I would happily bring my children back here for a family holiday. Slippers and robes, and stocked mini bar were a nice touch. We had a late departure (9.45pm with BA) and they allowed us to come back and use the facilities and bars after working, as well as use of a room for 45 mins in the evening. This is why we chose this hotel as we had asked for this before booking, and luckily they were happy to do so. Yes, it is expensive, but it was worth it :)
Inn La Galleria Bed and Breakfast is only 1969 feet from Yepton Beach in Five Islands. It offers individually decorated rooms and studios, free Wi-Fi and a shared terrace with views of the water. Lovely views, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast!
Set among 37 acres of tropical gardens, this beach-front adult only resort features all-inclusive recreation options that include sunfish sailing and snorkeling. The staff and location were amazing. This spot is simply “relaxing” and the staff treated you like family.
I enjoyed that they layout of the facility and how everything was in close distance from each other. The spa was a bonus too. i didn't care for the long wait to be seated at the restaurants, They should include reservations for all members and not just the VIP members. I enjoyed the 24hr room service. The staff is friendly and informative. I wish this was an adult only resort.
I just stayed overnight to wait for my flight the morning after, there weren't many shops opened in the evening to have dinner and children were too tired to go downtown, so we had practically no dinner or breakfast.
The inn la Galleria is not a 5 star hotel, it doe's not have matching handles on all the doors, the paint work could do with touching up and the terrace is not level. But there was always hot water, the a/c was adiquate, the staff were friendly. There was a girl there to advise on trips and was not pushy. The cheepest room only has a fridge and nothing to cook on although there is a micro-wave behind the bar you can use.so we upgraded to get a kitchen. The wi-fi was good enough for our needs " whatsapp and face book etc". The bus stop is 5 mins walk ( see photo ) and 2.5 eastern caribbean dollers gets you into town. The nearest beach is deep beach which is 15 mins stroll through the hotel down the road. The next nearest is Galley bay about 30 mins walk, then there is Halksbill beach some 40 mins walk. As we had a late flight and the room was not required by anyone else we were allowed to keep the room past checkout time at no extra cost. Good valve for the money for Antigua.
Hawksbill is in the most beautiful location, set in lovely gardens. The rooms were clean and well stocked, and although the architecture throughout the resort in general looks a bit dated, it was all well maintained and adds to the quaintness of the resort. The food in general was simple but adequate, particularly breakfast and lunch. However, for an all inclusive resort, the evening meals were of limited choice and quality. What makes this place (and the reason we wouldn't hesitate to go back, is the location, tranquility, and helpful, friendly staff.
Loved that we got upgraded to a villa on the ocean. The hotel is a bit tired and worn down but the staff more than makes up for it. It's super quiet and removed from the hub bub of the city and has great security.
Hotel was good
Lovely views, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast!
