I had the best time staying at Gega, the location was perfect for taking public bus and going sightseeing. AC and WIFI worked well. Room was smallish, but comfy and silent, I could sleep without issues. Staff were really amazing. If cant find any other reason, then stay at Gega just for breakfast buffet, it is like a feast, I have not seen such a wide selection of food anywhere else so far for such price. Thank you!

Berat is a wonderful city.
Berat is a wonderful city. Experience genuine hospitality in this historic place. Nothing in Berat is contrived for tourists. Much of Berat is protected by UNESCO. Most restaurants, shops, and lodging facilities are staffed by people with some level of English skills making communications much easier to navigate. The historic center of Berat is easily walkable.

The old town of Berat is full of charming laneways, lovely guesthouses and amazing restaurants, some of which are in people’s houses/courtyards. The newer part of town along the river is also lovely with a wide promenade which is great for people watching at night and it has many cafes. Some of the guesthouses/hotels are up very steep hills which may not suit everyone especially with luggage.

What a fantastic stay in Berat at Hotel Mangalemi- the room we stayed in was superb, the staff were both professional, friendly, super welcoming and informative, whilst the meal we had for dinner at the onsite restaurant was exceptional. It was also an excellent location with the fort literally just up the road!
Whilst we only stayed for one night we wish it could have been more and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat for a short or long stay. Five stars all the way!
We stayed three nights in this hotel this summer and it was amazing. The owners are great people. They did everything perfectly. We felt at home right away. Great breakfast, beautiful atmosphere and perfect location. We absolutely recommend this hotel, if you stay in Berat.
Also the traditional food was very lovely. As we said goodbye Klinti, the owner gave us water for free for our onward journey, which was the perfect example for the albanian hospitality. Absolutely 10/10!
Location is perfect: excellent spot to expore Berat Castle and the medieval alleyways nearby. Great parking and easy access. The hotel is located in an old house beautifully decorated. The food is to die for. Indeed, we had the best dinner in our Albanian trip at the hotel. However, the best was undoubtely the staff: they made us feel at home with a warm welcome and superb service.
This was a lovely hotel, right in the centre of Berat! Beautiful clean room, high quality linen on the bed!
We had breakfasts, coffees, drinks at the hotel, everything we had was amazing and excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking was also easy. Would definitely recommend and stay again on our next visit!
