Location is good, room is clean and comfortable, modern and much better than the photos. The best is the host Maradona who is very helpful and contactable 24/7 via a Nokia 3310 device. He provides pick up and drop off from old town and lots good advice.

The staff here were great; very friendly and welcoming and easy going. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a perfect way to cool off in the heat. The breakfast was good and we liked the other dishes we tried here. Parking is right out front. The location couldn’t be better- the castle is right above and the bazaar streets are 1 minute walk. I’m super happy we stayed here and recommend! We were nervous about driving up the steep cobblestone streets but it was manageable- just stay calm and take your time.

Old Gjirokaster is a well preserved historical city worth visiting. The atmosphere of old world is all around in the beautiful mansions, the cobbled uphill/downhill streets, the massive castle looming above it all. The people are friendly, the prices reasonable. A helpful tip, wear thick-soled shoes as the pretty cobble-stones can be felt under your feet after walking a while or if you have sore knees/hips/ankles use a walking stick for support going up/down the inclines and stairs. Highly recommended.

Gjirokaster is lovely!

Gjirokaster is lovely! A great deal to do and see - the best activity is, of course, people watching. We met and had dinner with two other traveling couples because the city has a relaxed, welcoming aura. The shopping was quite nice, too.

Gjirokastër is well worth a visit.

Gjirokastër is well worth a visit. From the main street (bus terminal), it’s a fairly steep climb to the main tourist area and castle. Beyond the castle, and much less crowed, you can make a hike to Ali Pasha bridge. The castle offers a pleasant viewpoint over the valley, and the obelisk also provides a good view of modern Gjirokastër.

It’s usually a day trip destination, but we decided to stay...

It’s usually a day trip destination, but we decided to stay for 4 nights. The old town was a nice place to walk around. The castle was a must visit. On the other days, we rented a car and drive to Sarande, Ksamil, Permet (thermos bath. We took a bus from Athens (we paid 5€ for the taxi to take us up to our hotel). After the 4 days, we took a bus to Tirana.

People are very helpful.

People are very helpful. A lot to discover between history and nature for those who loves walking and climbing. As an animal lover, I have rescued a dog and adopted him. Even if it's not on your mind you could them help as well there. There is a fantastic vet at down at the town center.

Very welcoming host and relaxed atmosphere. We felt like home immediately and jumped into the swimming pool after our travel. We booked two double rooms for our family of four. Beds, airconditioning and the balcony are nice. Bathroom is also sufficient but the opened door is blocking moving there. We also recommend the breakfast which contains fresh fruit and home made dishes. The hotel is 5 min drive from the old center of Gjirokaster and it’s very easy to find.

The views, the friendliness of the staff, the swiming pool, the atmosphere. We came late and there was no problem for check in. It has a luxurious but relaxed vibe, children were very well received. We did get lost on our way there in the narrow streets of Gjirokastër. The hotel provides instructions for easier access (which we did not get because of the problem of connectivity of our phones), so make sure you follow those for stressless access.

Clean rooms and a very nice balcony with a stunning view over Gjirokastër. A charming villa and Maria is super sweet, she makes the experience feel like home. Accesible by car if you follow the map uploaded by the hotel, and we were very happy with the parking spot at the hotel instead of parking in the narrow streets. A bit of a climb uphill but it only takes 10 minutes to reach the heart of the center and the Old Bazaar. Highly recommend.

Faleminderit shume to the owner. He really shows what passion for hospitality looks like - from the clean, comfortable rooms to the way the hotel is decorated, it was world class. I will definitely be coming here again when in Gjirokaster.
