United StatesAll the staff were very welcoming and friendly the entire stay. They helped us figure the parking situation which was on site and even carried our luggage up to our room. The gentleman showed us around the room which wasn’t very roomy with two large suitcases, but otherwise, the room was very clean with everything we could need. The location itself was convenient and accessible to everything - back to back restaurants, supermarket (right around the corner) and beaches - about an easy 10-15 minute walk. If you’re into nightlife, the bars and clubs are in the exact strip as the beach access. 10/10 experience and will be returning!

United StatesVery clean, quiet, spacious room. Comfortable bed. Wonderful rain shower with strong pressure, lots of hot water, a free-flowing drain and a handy soap/shampoo dispenser. Easy parking next to the building. Good communication via WhatsApp with the very kind host. Excellent price. A very short 10-minute drive to Butrint Archaeological Park and 20 minutes to Saranda. The most fun part of our one night here was sitting on our balcony in the evening watching 100+ goats pass by en route from pasture. It was quite a parade!

AlbaniaQuality hotel recently renovated. The staff welcomed us with a smile and Ledio was very helpful to us. What we liked the most was the room equipped with modern furniture, a comfortable mattress and a large and very nicely designed bathroom.
At dinner, we enjoyed some very delicious seafood dishes served in a modern restaurant and a perfect service from the staff, especially from the waiter Klodi, always smiling and professional.
Later we learned that the hotel and restaurant have a long tradition in the tourism business as they are the first hotel opened in Ksamil 30 years ago. A family business started 30 years ago, well managed by the owner Papi and turned into a professional business by his son Ledio. Everything perfect

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of season and there would be limited options. We enjoyed the quiet streets and there was still a small selection of restaurants open. We also went swimming, the water was cool but still enjoyable. For us Ksamil was perfect in November but I would caution that you must be prepared for a very relaxing and quiet experience.

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches.
That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent.
Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day.
Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). On average, €1 was equivalent to about 95–96 lek.

The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean. Renting sunbeds/umbrellas can be quite pricy. If you go in the afternoon they would charge you the same price on some beaches.
Driving in Ksamil can be quite hectic. The streets are quite narrow and not all the streets have pavements and on streets where they are present either they are taken up by shops or else the people do not use the land walk in the middle of the road. Be careful if you are driving there especially during rush hour and parking is not easy.
The restaurants are really good. We tried a lot of them and the food is delicious and most of them have very reasonable prices. We were always treated nicely from the staff.

The people are amazing.
The people are amazing. They are all friendly and acomodating, and almost everyone speaks great english.
The food is delicious! We went to several restaurants and all the food is great.
Butrint national park is a must see. Although I highly recommend going there early (before 10 AM) to get a parking spot. Otherwise you will park 1 km-2km away and walk in the sun.
The infrastructure is horrible. There are too many hotels and the roads are narrow and there are no or very little sidewalks. It is dangerous to walk around with small children because in august it was filled with cars that were driving too fast on those roads.
Driving inside Ksamil and between Ksamil and Saranda is a nightmare.

Beautiful beaches and nature but overcrowded. We would not come back in July or August again. September could work. Roads are crazy and cannot cope with amount of tourists. Again, could be perfect in September.

The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. We had plenty of space to ourselves as well as a gorgeous communal area. The hotel was excellently located, not more than 10 minutes from lively bars/restaurants and stunning beaches. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The different daily breakfast options including pastries and fruits was a fabulous feature and gave us a true taste of Albanian cuisine. We miss it already and will be back! A perfect place to stay for our first trip to Albania.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, they attended all our requests and even helped with parking the car. The breakfast had good variety, just the fruits could be better.
The view of the pool was stunning, great to see the sunset from there.
The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, we went there three times during our stay. The food is unmatched, best meals we did in Albania.
Location is great, walking distance to the beaches in the centre of Ksamil and bars too.

Amazing location, an easy walk from Ksamil. Definitely worth if for a quieter location, still with bars and beaches on your doorstep. Easy to find if you check google maps (directions take you up the wrong road) and lots of parking available. Rooms were spacious and clean. The family were lovely! Although there is a small choice at breakfast, it is cooked fresh and was one of the better selections we had in Albania.

Firstly, I'd like to mention Luciano's warming welcome and his continuous attentiveness throughout our stay. His recommendations were super helpful and made our stay in Albania ever better! The hotel is family owned which made us feel really welcomed and at home. The breakfast was really good and complete. Additionally, the hotel's location is beach-front and super close to everything!

Great location, very close to Ksamil center and the beach. The owners were very polite and hospitable. Fantastic breakfast where you get 6 options to choose from. I recommend asking for the freddo cappuccino coffee. Last but not least, you have the best view of the Ksamil beach and islands.
