South AfricaThe rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is good. I think I had one of the nicer rooms so I might be biased, but it was really nice. It had a desk and chair to work on. The internet was on a working well for the entire duration of my 7-day stay. They also have a nice spacious patio to relax, and a comfortable lounge with a communal TV downstairs.

For the first time ever at a hotel accommodation I had food (even though it was a small meal) waiting for me on my room table when I checked in. The restaurants within the hotel served amazing food and drinks and had great vibes. The lounge/restaurant on the top floor was lovely and had amazing panoramic views of the city. There’s also a pool on the second floor, spa & wellness center on the bottom floor, and more. Breakfast served in the morning was superb!

Beautiful city and very clean in some parts.
Beautiful city and very clean in some parts. Other parts are really filthy with lots of rubbish. The people are friendly, the food isn't bad; sometimes too salty and not spicy enough. The weather is wonderful, sunny but cool. The traffic is unbearable. There are mosquitoes, so come prepared. It's a place I would visit again.

Visa or Mastercard is not widely accepted at all places. and some shops only take Cash but does not have change for larger notes that the ATM's give you.
the Beach front restaurants mostly do take Visa/Mastercard and most CBD hotels. but the further you stay/travel outside Luanda most places only take cash(small notes) and local bank cards.

The staff is the best. Edgar was a great host, very helpful and friendly and sort everything for us. The hostel has a small kitchen with serves food by Ludmilla, always taste and generous. Gomes, the manager, ws always around to take care of anything.
Luanda is a city with a lot of constrats, fun and chaotic. The staff really helped to max our trip.

All most everything, Hotel is well located and has a beachfront nice hotel with, staff are very friendly and helpful, in special a gentleman at reception Eode Miguel, has an excellent customer service with smile in is face, I think he deserve a pay rise for is dedication and hard work.
Whenever you visit Angola- Luanda ask for Miguel at reception.

The Protea Hotel is a real find. it is off the main city area which is a bit inconvenient, but the facilities are supberb ad the staff are extremely good. Ivandro and Manuel stood out as giving very good service

Last minute booking with a beautiful interior art. Bed was comfortable. The hotel staff went out and beyond by walking us to the nearby restaurant as it not safe.
