Buenos Aires continues to be at the top of of all metropolis in the whole Latin America, and surely in the whole world as shown by the continue decline of the civilised standards of living globally, including the 'Collective West' of North America and Eastern Europe.
Buenos Aires is an incredibly beautiful city. The combination of old French architecture with new sky rises makes it clear why they call it the little Paris of South America. Each burrough has its own identity and personality. If you like the bustling nightlife you stick to micro centro, if you want a unique bar crawl go to Palermo, if you want to observe the Cities rich history go to Recoleta. It's one of the most walkable cities Ihave ever visited with some unique building, art, or monument around every corner. The weather always 70 and sunny. perfect for strolling around the city!
Buenos Aires is a large bustling city. It feels similar to a European city but there are lots of new experiences here. The many parks offer exotic plants and birds and if you venture beyond the city there are lots of exciting options to experience. I visited Iguacu waterfall, amazing and under 2 hours away. Also a day trip to Uruguay, only 1 hour. There is also much culture and art within the city, theatres, museums and unique locations like the Caminito. There is a great choice in food options here. Transport is good also. Top tip bring sensible walking shoes, trainers, pavements are often broken! If you venture beyond the city centre there are mosquitos bring Deet. Outside the hotels few speak English so have Google translate on hand.
We stayed twice in Buenos Aires on the way to and from Patagonia. For the outbound part of the trip we stayed in Palermo. This is a charming neighbourhood with a hip feel. Great vegan and other restaurants. It was great for walking around and getting an initial feel for the city and was safe at night too. Good to the eco park, Eva peron musuem and all the sights in the northern part of the city. After returning from Patagonia we stayed two nights in central Buenos Aires. A totallly different vibe. Very hustly by day, and quite gritty at night off the main streets. But great for walking all the central sights like Avenida mayo and Corrientes and the monuments.
I will never come back for sure. Hi, Selina charged me 392,62$ when my booking was for 301,70$. Ther service provided by Selina/Booking was truly not acceptable and I want a refund of this difference. Poor service and for sure I will never return to one Selina's hotels.
To my perception, the most Western city in South America. Large boulvards, many parks, art, culture, food, drink, ... Palermo remains my favorite neighborhood. You can find a lot of nice stores, restaurants to every budget/taste and a nice stroll in the small, colorful streets. Of course you also have to go to Recoleta, Puerto Madero and much more and I visited a lot by foot. In every street you will find a majestic building and/or a beautiful grafiti. Of course, you have to be a bit careful and so don't behave too flashy but I haven't felt unsafe during my many walks there. More and more places are renting bikes and for supreme convenience you can also install Cabify (officially approved counterpart ofUber). The people there have a lot of problems with inflation but that makes it very interesting for the tourist (with our Dollars or Euros) to enjoy a big city cheaply. As in the good old days, bring currency to change there. Just ask locally (e.g. at the hotel) about the best way to do that. Paying in cash is much cheaper than using a card and withdrawing money is also terribly expensive.
This is a beautifully designed boutique hotel and, in my opinion, is in the best location in Buenos Aires for visitors, particularly for first timers like me. Fantastically handy for fabulous walks in the most historic/interesting part of central B.A. and a stones throw from the famed Sunday market on Defensa St. The staff were brilliant in every way (informative, helpful and kind) and my stay couldn't have been better. Extremely well priced considering the location and amenities. Strongly recommend it.
Buenos Aires
I don’t usually post the review after staying hostel But I’m totally satisfied with everything here I decided to stay here longer than i was originally planing to do, because all the staff are warm, welcoming, do their best helping me out with everything i asked They’ve got big dining room, Lounge area to chill and chat. It’s in the middle of Center in Buenos aires I can go anywhere i want without any problems I already miss “Juan” I definitely get back here if I ever return to Argentina
Palermo, Buenos Aires
This is a true find. Located in the vivid Palermo Soho, everything you'll need is within a walking distance. The hosts were both wonderful people who did all they could to make us feel comfortable and welcome and with the heat of Buenos Aires in February, we were very pleasantly surprised by the fact that all three rooms within the apartment had air conditioning. Would recommend this place to anyone, though especially small groups, visiting Buenos Aires!
We LOVED BE Jardin de Escondido! The hotel is charming and cozy, but the staff is what makes it so special. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious. We loved having a glass of wine in the living room each night before heading out to dinner in Palermo....such a vibrant neighborhood with so many great bars and restaurants within seconds/minutes of BE Jardin. Can't say enough about our experience!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a very nice part of town and accessible to just about everything by taxi. I choose the location due to its close proximity to the cruise port. I’m very glad I picked the Melia Recoleta Plaza and not another hotel. Don’t forget to ask the staff about the building’s history. Especially if you’re a fan of Evita.
Very friendly and helpful staff in this refurbished hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires, just a few minutes walk of Puerto Madero. Weeks upfront I ordered an airport shuttle on the day of arrival. That was perfectly arranged. Furthermore, upon arrival (after a night flight), 1 room was ready and we were invited to join breakfast. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Metro is around the corner. We enjoyed our stay here!
It is a beautiful hotel, very stylish, minimalistic but warm, we loved it! The breakfast crew is amazing, they use all the best ingredients and everything is so good that you cannot stop eating. The room is spacious, clean and we the bathroom is perfect. The coffee in the hallway is great, no question was too much and the people are the best. Thank you again for this lovely experience in Palermo BA!
Location was the best in the city for first timers and if you like a good feed and late night hang outs! It’s quick easy to get around the city, Palermo has a lot to offer too! The staff were excellent and made us feel as comfortable during our stay. You must try the empanadas at the hotel! = the best!
The room had a reasonable size and was clean. The hotel is located on the main avenue of Buenos Aires and is very close to Obelisque and Teater Colon and Florida street. The staff is friendly and it is just 5 minutes by car from the Airport shuttle stops.
Great location directly at the bar/restaurant area of Palermo. The hotel has a small garden with pool, which is very peaceful and relaxing. Unfortunately, I was visiting in June and it was too cold outside, but in summer the garden must be amazing.
This was my husband’s & my first stay in Buenos Aires & we loved the Mine! Staff genuinely hospitable, welcoming & helpful. It was a lovely home for us for our first time in the delightful Palermo neighborhood. We would love to return!
This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Not even a 4 star. Having said that it was good of value for money and a lot cheaper than 5 or 4 star hotels. Room was decent and clean in a good location but the hotel is very tired looking
Spotless clean, with attentive and flexible service. Breakfast in wonderful location, great variety of food and drinks. Gym sufficient if you want some workout. Very well positioned in Recoleta, walking distance from Palermo.
Loved the city. Location of hotel is in Palermo which is the neighborhood you want to be for nightlife, great food and vibes. Alvaro, and Emanuel and the rest of the staff were super helpful !
Location, Location, Location. That hotel really have it! Opposite 24h grocery store and 5 star steakhouse Revire. Hotel stuff very helpful and nice, good beds in the room
Very nice small hotel in a quiet area in Palermo close to restaurants and cafes, close to coworking spaces and one block from starbucks.
One of the best hotels in Buenos Aires. Clean room, great stuff. Nice breakfast. Good value for the money.
The hotel has good location! In the middle of Recoleta! Facilities are good and the price was good!
