First time in Bariloche for me, This has been one of the best hotel I´ve ever stayed in Argentina. Excellent price, confortable apartment end bed, beautiful location, great facilities. A special bonus for the kindness of receptionist Gabriel, who made us fell always at home, and gave us valuable tips for our journey. Thanks, Gabi !

Monasterio Hotel Boutique

Monasterio Hotel Boutique

San Carlos de Bariloche

Only 5 km from downtown Bariloche and 15 km from Catedral ski centre, Monasterio offers a swimming pool nestled in the slopes of Otto Hill. There are panoramic views of the mountains and forests. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable. The staffs are all very kind and nice. Loved using spa and swimming pool after the tour. The location is between center and the famous lakes so it was good to have a tour not waiting too long for other people. If you rent a car, that would be much easier to travel and stay there.

Ski, Nature and Fun in Patagonia

San Carlos de Bariloche is located on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake and surrounded by the magnificent Nahuel Huapi National Park. Perched among 2000-metre high mountains, the town is one of the biggest winter sports resorts in South America. It is the Argentinean capital of artisan chocolate, and mixes Central European influence with native traditions.

Originally populated by different native tribes, the modern settlement grew in the last decades of the 19th century around the shop of the German immigrant Carlos Wiederhold. Its development reached a peak in the 1930s, with the completion of the railroad, the creation of the national park, and the construction of several emblematic buildings. The Civic Centre and the Neo-Gothic cathedral, as well as some famous Bariloche hotels were built to resemble a Swiss village.

The city is one of the most popular destinations in Argentina and a gateway to Patagonia. Hotels, luxury resorts, guest houses, B&Bs and hostels, are part of Bariloche’s large range of accommodation. It has famous ski stations like Mount Catedral, and is also the traditional destination for students in their last year of secondary school.

A 2-hour flight from Buenos Aires to Bariloche Airport is the quickest way to reach the town. If you’re planning a trip to Patagonia, don’t miss the Bariloche hotel deals available on Booking.com!
