AustriaGreat location. Amazing breakfast and food in general. Every single member of the staff delivers perfect service. This is challenging and a great achievement. Respect. The room was nice and most importantly quiet. The view to the Loser is wonderful. I’m not the Spa type so I didn’t use it a lot but it’s nice, it was not overcrowded and the teabar plus nuts and dry fruit is welcomed. I would have appreciated a higher water temperature in the pools but that’s minor. It was warm enough to feel good inside. The golf course is around the corner and next to the hotel. I’m not an expert but the course looked rather mediocre to me and just as much maintained as necessary. But that’s not part of the hotel and not their responsibility. I will definitely come back again.

GermanyWe had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful property near Hallstatt. The views from our balcony were incredible — mountains, pastures, and the Alps — the perfect setting to enjoy morning coffee. The location was ideal: just 10–15 minutes from the nearby lakes and about 20 minutes to Hallstatt, making it easy to explore the whole area.
The chalet was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we even cooked dinner one evening. The host was warm and welcoming, greeting us with a bottle of wine and some olive oil — such a thoughtful gesture. It quiet at night and perfect for stargazing! Lots of biking and walking trails around as well.
We truly loved our stay and would happily return!

Very beautiful place to spend a few days or even more than a...
Very beautiful place to spend a few days or even more than a week. Plenty things to do - hiking, spa relax, good restaurants, beautiful sceneries. In Bad Aussee there are several places to eat or buy groceries. Whithin a few minutes you reach a lake to swim or a beginning of a hiking path. Good position for visiting Hallstadt, Bad Ischl or Salzburg. If you want to have dinner in a restaurant it is good to make a reservation otherwise you may have a problem to get seats.

Bad Aussee is great location. Surrounded by the mountains.
Bad Aussee is great location. Surrounded by the mountains. We made lots of nice trips to the great tourist attractions ( lakes, sightseeing points) . We visited Wolfgangsee lake and atter see Lake which were absolutely amazing.
Only the downside of it was the parking in the city.

Bad Aussee is a very good area for cross country skiing in the winter, and also for mountain biking in the summer. The Narzissentherme resort is also very nice. Bad Aussee is also near the Loser Ski area (15 minutes by car).

The interior is modern and looks very new. The apartment is spacious for a family of three. It is very comfortable to stay here. The kitchen is well equipped for making decent meals. Very soundproof. Not far from major tourist attractions. Child friendly with infant cot, toys and playing cushions. The owner is a very nice person. Close to grocery and gas station

We stayed in Schmiedgut in June 2025 and were very satisfied. Our apartment was very clean, spacious and well taken care of. Garden with a pond was super beautifull and created a relaxing athmosphere. Sauna was perfect and it was always heated up according to our request. We can warmly recommend Schmiedgut.

Almost everything was really nice with the place. It is at a superb location, between the mountains with beautiful views. The rooms were specious, comfortable and clean. We were 4 adults with a kid and there were plenty of space to relax. We really had nice time there.
