RussiaWe were 3 families staying for 12 days in total. We have enjoyed each minute spent in the hotel. The ambiance, the comfort, the view. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Plenty of activities for all ages (3 generations of our family). I would highly recommend free classic concerts in the concert hall of the neighboring Hotel Europa or on the nearby square.

With its many amenities—including a spa, restaurant, café, and bar—we found ourselves not wanting to leave at all. The staff was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and incredibly eager to help, even providing recommendations before we arrived.
Both the café and restaurant offered excellent food, adding to the overall experience. The hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Everything—from the service to the amenities—matched the price, making it well worth the money. As a thoughtful touch, they even arranged a free taxi service to the train station. We would highly recommend this hotel; it’s absolutely worth the stay.

AustriaWhat a gem! The location is excellent, being a bit out of the town and right where some nice hiking routes start. Gives you the best view down on the town and during breakfast/dinner. The spa area is great and very inviting, always spot on clean. In addition there is a movie theatre (which you can also reserve for a night when there’s no movie showing) and a co-working area (I did not see the latter since I was there to relax only). The rooms (mine at least) are spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and an invitation to enjoy a long breakfast reading the paper - it’s from 7am til 11am, and you can sit and enjoy the breakfast buffet and coffee after coffee for as long as you wish. Dinner is also high quality, and worth the price. I was there solo for 6 nights and relaxation while being exhausted and I couldn’t have chosen a better place and accommodation.

Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy slope side apres and a buzzy town centre, go to St Anton. Bad Gastien's signature are it's spa and the weirdly magical atmosphere the huge number of belle epoch hotels, some refurbed an open, some semi-abandoned, some totally derelict. Super convenient with the train to Munich/Salzburg, come see it before the town becomes cool again.

This is our second visit in two years, so we love this beautiful scenic town with hiking trails you can walk to from the centre. The air is so fresh, which was why we came here to escape the oppressive hot summer air of Vienna. If you can rent an apartment with a kitchen, there is also a great (huge!) InterSpar supermarket near the train station - just factor in walking up and down the steep hills!

Beautiful small city that has everything you need. In the centre you can find all in the area, you can go on foot. There is beautiful fall in the centre. A lot of great food. Good connections with buses and trains to sorounding citys.

Skiing in Graukougel is a must.
Skiing in Graukougel is a must. Fine dining at Bertahof, just north of Bad Gastin, is strongly recommended, fantastic Austrian food experience. Table reservation is needed. Eat at Schmaranz in Bad Hofgastein, everything localy produced at the farm. You'll eat by the open fire where the food is cooked. A place for meat lovers.

This was a very good experience for us (2 nights stay, for the first time in Bad Gastein).
The hotel has been newly renovated and we really liked the design: relatively minimalist and totally functional, while still elegant.
It reminded me of the Skandinavian style, with Alpine flavours.
Breakfast was good, the staff was friendly - we really enjoyed our stay, and even managed to watch from our balcony (facing a mountain and the football field) an entertaining football match of local teams.
We would definitely come back.

The panoramic view of Bad Gastein from our apartment was breath-taking. The private sauna and bath in the room were very therapeutic. The spa and treatments made a most rejuvenating New Year getaway. The hotel is in a picturesque valley just next to the waterfall. We were invited to celebrate the New Year countdown at the balcony with fellow guests, with complimentary bubblies, and unforgettable fresh snow. From welcome to good-bye, the staff created a wonderful oasis. Thank you for the fairytale-like vacation!

The accommodation was like new, clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable. The owner was pleasant. There were a lot of towels to use for 5 people. The ski room was equipped with a dryer for ski boots. There was a menthol shoe spray to remove the stench. The location of the apartment was ideal for skiing in Bad Gastein and Sportgastein.
I can only recommend staying here!

The location is excellent for the ski centre at Bad Gastein. A nice heated area for your boots and skis at the rear. Right across from the railway station and beside the spa. Room was clean and spacious and a nice balcony. Staff friendly and left luggage available too.
