Everything. The front desk staff friendly and helpful. They even cashed in some Swiss CHF money I had left over, into Euros for me. saved me from having to bring back to USA. Location was great. Lakefront walkway, train station, boat docks, just across the main street. Restaurants, small grocery store, shopping all just minutes away. Room was very nice. Size and comfort wise. The bathroom floor was even heated. Breakfast was amazing.

The location was so convenient to restaurants, the promenade along the lake and to the train station that I could not have been anymore satisfied with my choice of this hotel. I was shocked and quite thankful that we were given an upgraded room since the weather kept us in one day of our two night stay which allowed us to stretch out and relax. The breakfast that we added on our last morning before running to the train was well worth the it and we should have opted for it the other morning as well.

We liked the beauty of Bregenz which is situated alongside Lake Constance. There are nice restaurants & cafes, shops, walks, boats etc and we enjoyed the cable car ride to see the small farm, great for children and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The area is excellent for cyclists & runners, and for people with mobility issues. There are ferries which go to the small German island of Lindau, which is worth a visit and it takes 20-30 minutes. Quite a few of the cafes shops and restaurants are closed on a Sunday.

Bregenz is a lovely little town, and they have always going on in the harbour area. Contrary to the hotel, the town and especially the people there are LOVELY. Just go there, you will not be let down

We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025.

We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025. It was a coincidence that the Hafen Fest was on those days, and I cannot judge what is Bregenz usually like. For us there were too many people on the lake shore... but I know some people love this. The best places for me, must-sees: 1. Pfänderbahn (in good weather) 2. Lake shore (always, but especially at sunset) 3. Old downton (and Uppertown) We went everywhere on foot, and it suited us perfectly well.

It is a beautiful town with many things to see and places to eat. Our Highlight was the Opera on the lake which was amazing. I am 79 years old and my grand daughter is 14 years. The opera is ageless. we both enjoyed it and will be talking about it for years to come.

Bregenz was a great base to explore the old town and visit...

Bregenz was a great base to explore the old town and visit St Martin’s Tower telling the history of Bregenz and its chapel with medieval frescoes. There is a round walking tour suggested on a sign post in the old town that takes you past churches and buildings. I used Bregenz to go and visit Liechtenstein with the integrated train and bus service bus Feldkirch. There are are round Lake Constance boat trips as far as a view of Lindau frim the Harbour and two great museums in the Kunsthaus and Voralberg.

Small green town on the lake shore.

Small green town on the lake shore. Very green, lakeside promenade is romantic, at the end of the day, you can see the sun on the water's line, charming. Lakefront restaurants vary; some are a bit kitchy. The summer opera's building is interesting. There is a beach on the lake, mountains around, possibility to rent a boat. Good place for escape to nature lovers, probably a bit limited choice of activities for all others.

This is a very stylish hotel — I assume it was built quite recently. The rooms are simple but thoughtfully designed, with wooden accents nearly everywhere, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Check-in took place in the restaurant located right inside the hotel, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. You can park either on the street in front of the hotel (which had plenty of free spaces overnight during my visit) or at the hotel’s own reserved parking spots just across the road.

Honolulu hotel is a quirky and fun place to stay in Bregenz. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. The whole place had great character and my only regret is not staying on a night when the beer garden is open. It closes on Sundays and Mondays. I saw them setting up as I was leaving earlier today and I can only assume the vibes would be great.

Centrally located across the street from the Bodensee promenade, convenient on a pedestrianised precinct for shops, restaurants and museums. 24 hour reasonable priced car park opposite hotel. Rooms well appointed with everything needed for a stay. friendly attentive reception staff, Petra in particular.

Spacious, comfortable room. Good location - easy walking distance from train / bus station, and for access to the lakeside promenade into centre of Bregenz and to go to Seebad.
