Ehrwald is a lovely place, people are friendly and efficient, and they were out all the time keeping the roads clear of snow and gritted, so we had no problems getting about. We particularly liked the ehrwalder almbahn, as the blue run coming back down was lovely and wide and didn't have too many steep bits, ideal for progressing beginners. We stopped half way down to eat pommes at the ganghoffer hutte, can definitely recommend that! Beautiful building, reasonable priced food & drink, friendly staff.
The other lift (wetterstine) area was easily accessed from the main part of town , and has a wonderful looking ski school area, and some easy slopes, progressing to intermediate, it looked ideal to learn on.
The only odd thing was some of the lifts didn't seem to offer a discount for seniors , even though I understood they were all supposed to be on the same pricing structure
The buildings are beautiful, and some have paintings or nice carvings on, very pretty place overall. Amazing view of the zugspitze looming up behind the village too
The swimming pool was also nice, and had a nice hot pool with jets for easing aching muscles
