Gaschurn is a small village, it has lots of lovely hotels to choose from, most very typical of the region, but also some modern ones.
The ski area is not huge but it certainly enough for weekends whether your beginner or intermediate, for advance skiers I think it is maybe not challenging enough, but we don't mind that for weekends, its a nice ski area with plenty of really nice places to eat, havnt had a bad lunch yet, and lovely bars with music to sit outside and have a drink in the mountai scenery.
The lift system is very good for this little place, they are constantly investing into the area, There is great parking at the base of the lift and it is free. They deserve the business.
We like Gaschurn for weekends, there is enough apres ski for a weekend visit, nice little pubs with music from 4.30, happy hour makes it a cheap couple of apre hours. There are a few restaurants, especially a couple of very good value and good food Italian restaurants. Personally we would not go for longer than a weekend but I'm sure if you have young children it would be a great place to go.
