Situated in Knittelfeld, Pension Sandhof has a shared lounge, garden, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Wonderful service. Clean room. Nicely decorated. Great breakfast.
Offering free WiFi access, Das alte Zinshaus is located in Knittelfeld, a 5-minute walk from the main square and the train station. The Red Bull Ring racecourse is a 15-minute drive away. We were lucky to stay in this pleasant private hotel! The owner was very kind and helpful and a really good thing that he speaks English well. Interesting fact is that it was an old building without heating, water and WC inside and it was totally reconstructed by the owner and now it’s comfortable, nice and modern, but has an old charm in details such as stove inside the room. I can also say that this hotel is really good choice in value for money and I’m planning to visit it again when I’ll have such an opportunity.
Situated 500 metres from Knittelfeld’s centre, Abdalla Apartments offers individually furnished apartments with a flat-screen satellite TV. The host was very kind and if something (like the wifi) did not work, he immediately fixed it, so there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Check-out was easy and the breakfast we got as an extra treat was amazing.
The Red Bull Ring is less than 10 mins away by car and is a playground for young and old, motor heads and not. Some of the activities in winter are cross country skiing, curling, dog sled, ice skating, shooting, 4 wheel drive buggy, KTM X bow. Lots to do and see.
Knittelfeld is surrounded by mountains and forests. It is perfect for walking, hiking, cycling and discovering traditional Austrian hospitality both in town and at the alpine inns in the mountains,. There are several ski resorts and the Red Bull Ring for motor sport enthusiasts nearby. There are two rivers flowing through the town, and a tranquil, scenic lake, the Ingering See a short drive away. For lovers of Lebkuchen, the award winning Regner Patisserie at Seckau and the monastery there are well worth a visit on the way back to Knittelfeld.

This was now the second time we spent a week at this very nice hotel with its own garden. The apartments are very nice and personal and Birgitte makes you feel very welcome. She sometimes surprised us with a homemade apricot strudel or fresh fruit. Next time we are going to Knittelfeld we will definitely book this great hotel again.
