We had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms and ambiance in general very relaxing. Although it is an old castle it has modern comforts. The breakfasts and dinner menu are very appealing to the eye and tongue and wholesome with local produce. And finally the views of the valley and mountains are incredible.

Breakfast par for a four star hotel. Restaurant was a surprise. I didn't book half board but ended up eating there all four nights. Traditional menu with very well prepared dishes; soups were exceptional as was the service. Antique furniture and objects decorate the hotel passed through generations. Rooms are modernly furnished and very clean. Contrary to Booking's information, rooms all have excellent wi-fi.

MIttersill is not a big town, but it sits in the middle of...

MIttersill is not a big town, but it sits in the middle of an amazing area full of mountain views, castles, and amazing hiking especially if you use the many, many ski lifts in the area to get up into the mountains. Location gives easy access to Kitzbuhel, Grossglockner Pass, and numerous parks and beautiful hiking areas. Recommend staying out of town in the many properties available on the hillsides. Beautifully built homes with lots of wood, decks for views, and easy access to roads, grocery stores, and everything needed for a great vacation!

This cabin was absolutely stunning, cozy place.

This cabin was absolutely stunning, cozy place. We were there in group of 7 (a family) and were very satisfied. There are two roads to access the accommodation, from the main road (steep) and from the back road (more safe in winter). The host speaks mainly German, so be aware of that and learn some words if you’re not speaking german language. Shower has very nice hot water, view is splendid, location great. We will definitely return!

Perfect for discovering Hohe Tauern National Park - bery good public transport along the valley from Zell am See to Krimml, plenty of possibilities for hiking, visiting museums and park centres, enjoying nature or sport activities.

Mittersill is centrally located and offers all the amenities you need (shops, supermarket, museum, hospital). Public transport (bus/train) is readily available, and there's plenty to do nearby, including hiking and cycling.

From Mittersill, we quickly reached the Panorama cable car...

From Mittersill, we quickly reached the Panorama cable car for access to the ski area. The town has good restaurants and shops. The hospital was easily accessible, and we didn't have a long wait. We also had a good experience with the local car repair shop.

Spacious apartment, in a perfect location to discover everything the Pinzgau valley and National Park Hohe Tauern have to offer. Since the apartment included a sommercard pass, most cable cars, toll roads and events were free for the whole family! That allowed us to do so much during the time we were there, really cool to have that included. The place itself is a cute Austrian farm, with views all around. It also has a nice garden which you're free to use. This was useful for my kids to play in the mornings.

Very friendly and helpful owners, dogfriendly as well. Apartment (balcony or garden) with big living room and bedroom. Kitchen very complete, all rooms and bathroom very clean and cool also on a hot day. Big bed and plenty space for rainy days. Smart TV including Netflix etc. Bread service, it's about 10 minutes driving to Mittersill. Nice view over valley. Price was including the Sommer Card with lots of discounts.
