It was okay. The Alps were pretty, but found the rest of the village rather gloomy compared to other European resorts and towns. Bad service from this woman server at the bar at Hotel Boglerhof. Not surprised though. The ski rental was cheap thankfully and the men one Brit and not sure of the other's nationality were friendly and helpful, unlike most of the Austrians. The skiing and snowboarding was good. The spa at Hotel Boglerhof was decent and good prices. It was an okay dinner though and there was a mistake on the bill. The male bartenders were much friendlier than the rude female bartender we had earlier in the day.
Great for exploring the area, nearer to Alpach but I also visited zillertal valley for skiing which is only a 15 min drive away. The town, is typical 'chocolate box' Austria with all the amenities you need in walking distance. If you are looking for lively nightclubs, stay away! Perfect for nice meals, evening drinks and a good night sleep making you ready to take on the mountains. Simp,y beautiful.
Great and charming little town for family skiing. Very convenient as it has everything handy and all within short walking distance: supermarket, various good restaurants, ski rental, gondola. Not a busy tourist town with a more relaxing atmosphere.
This is a lovely family ski area. Our children are 4 and 7 and this was their first ski holiday. The slopes were quiet and the ski school was brilliant. The food and drink was very reasonably priced. It was more a locals than a tourist feeling place. No lift queues and plenty of space on the slopes.
Great place for skiing. The village has its own ski slope, which is about 2,5-3km long. There is a free ski bus to other ski resorts in villages around. The village has a selection of nice restaurants.Definitely will return.
Overall a good hotel to stay in: beds are comfortable, the food is great (particularly the Sunday bbq), the view is good, and the family running the hotel clearly care deeply for their guests.
Everything, the hotel itself, the view, the water and the breakfast was very tasty
