Everything about the hotel is great. The rooms are very clean, the bed & pillow are super comfortable. The room amenities are splendid. All the staffs are the friendliest people I have met and they are super helpful. I recommend also to try their Michelin star restaurant on the ground floor. I also suggest that you ask the hotel manager her recommendations on some best restaurants nearby.

FAQs about hotels in Salzburg

The Hills Are Alive in Salzburg

Made famous for its “hills alive with the sound of music”, Salzburg is a very pretty town filled with romantic buildings and squares. If you are not yet aware that Mozart was born here, then you will be as soon as you land at Salzburg W.A. Mozart International Airport.

Further your education about this musical prodigy at his actual birthplace, Mozarts Geburtshaus. The city is the namesake of the Salzach River which runs through it, and alongside this beautiful river lays the Schloss Mirabell, one of the many impressive castles within the city limits. Schloss Mirabell and Hellbrunn with their picturesque gardens, beautiful galleries and impressive halls make the ideal spot for a picnic during summer.

The white-stone Hohensalzburg fortress is perched upon a green hill and offers magnificent views over the city. Or, you can escape it all in the Kapuzinerberg forest, which offers splendid Alpine vistas- a reminder of Salzburg’s natural beauty.

The shopping centre focuses around Alter Markt Square and Getreidegasse, the latter is a quirky street with old-fashioned signs indicating what each store sells. With 125 hotels and guesthouses available on Booking.com, your stay in Salzburg is bound to be as pleasant as this city is pretty.

The most enjoyable experience was the visit to Hohensalzburg fortress. To really see it properly, I would advise going in the morning, bringing a picnic or snack and spending a few hours there...there is so much to see. Other highlights were the organ recital in Salzburg Cathedral and visiting so many spectacular churches.... St Peter's church was a favourite and the Jesuit church was quite a surprise...so much colour! The Mirabelle gardens were lovely to stroll in and also the walks along the riverside. We were sorry not to get to Schonbrunn Palace, but hope to return to Salzburg, when that will be our No. 1 priority.

Salzburg is a beautiful city, not only the old town but the new town too. We felt we could have seen it in 2 days. Not the three we planned though. The castle was well worth seeing although to eat and drink up there is expensive as you'd expect.

Come for the Panorama Sound of Music tour; the Old Town is full of expensive boutiques, tourist shops and large tourist groups being herded round like sheep. The scenery and architecture is spectacular and the castle is with a visit. Two days should do it.

It was my third trip to Salzburg, but it had been about 15 years since my last trip and my husband's first time so I got to see it with new eyes! Lots to see but lots of tourists as well so plan to be there outside of the busy times (ie. not during the Salzburg Music Festival!) if you can. It's easy to walk everywhere and the public transportation is excellent (get a guest card from your accomodation to avail yourself of free transportation while staying at paid accomodation in the city). Great views from the top of the Modern Art Museum (take the lift or walk) and of course from the Castle!

You only need one day to explore Salzburg, it’s a very old city, you don’t have much activities there, only the old town which was fine. There is many cities in Austria that are much better than Salzburg. In my opinion don’t waste your time in it.

This was a superb hotel. Great value, the facilities were excellent Staff were all helpful and friendly, evening arranging a birthday breakfast for my partner. Location was a 10 minute walk from the main old town which is across the river. This area is still historic however with lots of shops - my partner was delighted our room overlooked the grave of Mozart's father and wife! All in all we had a great time in Salzburg and a lot of this was down to the hotel. Overall highly recommended.

Within 20-30 minute walk of bus and train station. 15-20 minute walk into Salzburg city centre through the tunnel. Very near two good supermarkets. You can take bus no. 1 ( to Kleisham) from bus/train station to near the hotel. Taxis leave from right outside the actual hotel. There is a lovely garden, cafes quite near, and it is a nice quiet pleasant area too.

Salzburg is expensive but hotel is relatively good value for money. It's a short walk into the old town through the lovely Mirabell gardens. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were helpful and the bar is a nice space. The sauna was a welcome bonus after a day out in the rain!.
