Cortisen am See is the best hotel we have ever experienced. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake, the beds were quite comfortable, the shower terrific. The breakfast was superb and served in the hotel's lovely restaurant. The infinity pool is a gem. The location is excellent- located between the two St. Wolfgang docks. Good restaurants are on premises, right next door and one across the street. Lush landscaping in a wonderful town for bike riding and hiking.

The hotel and the rooms are very pretty and of high quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is included in the price and is very tasty and has large variety of different fresh pastries, cheese and hams. The rooms does not have air conditioning but the staff are very professional and put a powerful fan in the room. The balcony is also a big bonus with a direct view of the lake. A great wellness and spa center 7 minutes drive from there

    A more beautiful peaceful vacation could not be imagined. The mountains are breathtaking. The quietness speaks to you, and I left feeling more peaceful than I have in years. We were there in May, and I understand the tourist scene in June and July is a bit busier. There is a lot to do in the village besides gazing at the scenery. Delicious eats, friendly hosts, charming souvenir shops and the ferry that goes up and down the St Wolfgangsee are some of the delights.

    I love this little town.

    I love this little town. It is a great location for exploring other areas, but the town itself is beautiful. We got to see them raise the May Pole and have a bit of a festival with dancing, music, and great food and drinks!

    St Wofgang is a small, beautiful town situated right on the lake. A good amount of restaurants and shops. The town had a music festival and dance performance outside while we were there. Seems like there are always things going on at the weekend in the spring/summer. We enjoyed a boat ride on the lake, visited Hallstadt and the saltmines there, and took the cog railroad up the mountain for amazing views of the whole area. We stayed for five nights and it was perfect.

    Excellent place with so many possibilities in domain of...

    Excellent place with so many possibilities in domain of walking, Wellness & Spa activities, exploring restaurants with great food and drinks, etc. It is traditionally oriented to the Austrian culture and has incredible nature of the Wolfgang See surroundings... We like St. Wolfgang so much and we will be here for many years in the future during our vacations.

    St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly.

    St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly. The town is chopped up by a highway tunnel. The road from the Garni Buchinger hotel into the town is narrow, mostly with no sidewalks and pitch dark at night. There's a lot of traffic on this road making it unsafe for pedestrians. For this reason we had no choice but to drive the short distance into town each night for dinner.

    Branntweinhäusl is located close to the Wolfgansee in the middle of the calm Austrian nature. We preffer this place instead to stay in the town. Our apartment was well equipped by the kitchen with all needed disches, nice and comfortable bedroom, bathroom and balcony with beautiful view. We really like to spend our time here, even we were off with our bikes most of the day. We enjoy every morning and evening here. Alexandra is really kind and helpful. You can see and feel she takes care with love about that place and their visitors 😊

    everything, the breakfast was very tasty with fresh, good selection of cheeses, ham, joghurt, selfmade Müsli, fresh juices, boiled eggs or omelettes freshly prepared, filter-coffee or from a Jura espresso-maker, good selection of teas We had our breakfast on the terrasse with a view over Wolfgangsee. There is an awsome terrasse also on the lake-side infront of the hotel, with lounge-chairs, deck-chairs, beds etc. you could also get drinks from a refridgerator and bring it to the beach and relax ;)

    Absolutely amazing stay! We had such a fantastic experience here! The hotel is in a super central location, just steps away from the main transport hub. The incredibly sweet and friendly owner gave us a lake-view room — it was clean, cozy, and the view of the lake was absolutely breathtaking! The hotel even has its own private beach and little boats we could use — such a dream! I’ll 100% stay here again next time I’m in St. Wolfgang. Can’t recommend it enough!
