Czech RepublicThe guest family was very friendly. We had a lovely chat each morning. They were extremely helpful. One day, I had to park downhill, as the road to the facility was very slippery. The next morning, they drove us to our car and showed us a better way which was not so steep and I had no issue to drive to the facility on remaining days.

FranceUpon arrival, the friendly staff welcomed us in a very quick manner, which was much appreciated. Cutlery, towels and washing necessities were also provided. The overall vibe was very peaceful and homely, a perfect reflection of the picturesque surroundings. I should also point out the nearby BILLA, which was a massive plus and saved us in the morning. Ski slopes are very close, and the nearby railway is like a dream come true for rail fans, though the astonishing scenery makes it a pleasure for hikers as well.

Perfect place for a short winter vacation.
Perfect place for a short winter vacation. Vienna airport is 100 km away. Car rental is fairly inexpensive if you book in advance. Several ski rental shops are in the surroundings.
If possible avoid weekends. Many people com for a ski weekend.

Amazing nature views and the world heritage railways right there. Coming by train requires either taxi / on-call bus, or a short hike up a quite steep road though. Easier by car oddly for a village right on the railways and famous for the railways. Past rich patronage means that costs are still inflated - it's a famous place after all.

Semmering is a beautiful little town of mostly hotels and weekend houses situated among the mountains. We actually didn't spend much time in Semmering itself, we choose this town as it was relatively close to the trails we planned to go on hikes to. Ötschergraben, Weichtalklamm, several other klamms amd peaks, and even the Familypark at Neusiedlersee is within 60 minutes driving time.

I understand there are plenty of walking routes at Semmering...
I understand there are plenty of walking routes at Semmering but the purpose of my visit was to view the UNESCO trans alpine railway on the eastern grade. I was lucky to be blessed with a full sun cloudless day. Plenty of trains made for a great experience.

Little but tiny place for skiing and walking/cycling. Not many shop and restaurant but clear and nice. If you book be sure, that you can have a dinner and where, if the hotel does not have a restaurant you might drive to Gloggnitz. Stuhleck is close which has more ski slopes and well daily maintained. Usually dogs are accepted and you can make good walks also.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, and one of our favourites for the year! We were lucky to check in early so we could hit the ski slopes, after a long day, we used the sauna and pool and had a super delicious dinner in the resturant. Breakfast was also super great! Rooms were spacious, clean, with a great view of the slopes and the beds were so so comfy! Staff were extremely lovely, food and drink were very reasonably priced, especially for a skiing area. Wish we stayed longer, was a great stay

The apartment is really new, very nice, we found everything that we needed (hair dryer, towels, coffee machine with some capsules, kettle, dish washer). Bed is very comfortable. There were others in the apartments next to us but it was very quiet, we didnt hear them. Really close to Billa, and you can reach a smaller ski place by foot, and Stuhleck by car in 5-10 minutes.

The location of the hotel is amazing. It is right next to the ski slopes and from our room, we had a view over the whole valley. The staff is accommodating and friendly. It was our second time this season and they greeted us as friends.
