Great location for a skiing holiday if you don't mind being away from shops, bars etc. Nearest restaurant is about 20mins walk up the mountain. On the other hand it's quite a nice place to be "stuck" in, has a warm relaxed vibe, the facilities are great and the staff super friendly. Pizzas are very good!

A tiny village, everything was closed during our stay, only one restaurant was open, we found it only after the road from McD (3 min drive). One tiny shop. In the other surrounding villages, a few minutes drive away, you can find everything.

Wide groomed slopes, plenty of options for eating on the slope. The same cannot be said about the restaurants in the city in the evening, when there is practically nowhere to go. 5 km from Spital is McDonalds with a EuroSpar shopping center. The town is 1 km from the motorway exit.

Due to its proximity, it is ideal for a weekend of skiing. It has well-maintained slopes, and everyone from beginners to advanced can find something suitable for themselves. However, it is visited by a lot of people on the weekend - especially on Saturday. There was a huge queue at the ticket offices in the morning and it was not uncommon to wait in line for 15 - 20 minutes at the lifts.

Exceptionally good ski slopes, good infrastructure, Vienna 1 hour, Budapest 4 hours. By far the best ski resort in Austria from a Hungarian perspective. Hirschenkogel ski resort is also exceptional and unbeatable in terms of price-performance ratio. I don't think there is another similar ski area within a 100 km radius. The downside is that electronic ticket booking was not available, we had to queue for tickets for more than an hour at the Stuchleck ski resort on December 8th.....

Our room was very spacious and cozy. Excellent service in the restaurant, very pleasant, helpful and kind staff. Cappuccino in the restaurant was so lovely! The breakfast and dinner was tasty and plenty. Eastern decoration on the table was so nice and there was joyful background music during the meals. Staff speak Hungarian or English. Bus stop is right beside the hotel.

Very nice little hotel right in the heart of the village and super close to the ski lifts as well. Rooms are nice and clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
