This stay was icing on our Austrian cake! Truly a luxurious place with multiple saunas, pool and spa. We were welcomed very warmly and proceeded to make our way to out room. We had time before the dinner at hotel and made use of the wonderful piol and saunas. What a treat! The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and served with care. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable.

Tannheim lies in a beautiful valley. The mountains are within easy reach and of a suitable height for day hikes. The two lakes are idyllic. The village itself offers a variety of restaurants, ice cream parlors, cafes, and a supermarket with a village bakery. The cycle paths are well-developed, and the bus connections are good.

Perfect location for excursions in the surrounding area, e.g., various hikes, Vilsalpsee lake, taking the cable car up to Neunerköpfle from Tannheim, or the cable car up to Füssener Jöchle from Grän. In the village, the Restaurant Neunerköpfle (reservations recommended) near the valley station or the restaurant in the Hotel Schwarzer Adler are highly recommended.

Tannheim advertises itself as being located in the most beautiful high valley in Europe, and that's absolutely true. Countless hiking trails can be explored on foot or by bicycle. There's something for every age group, and there's always something new to discover.

Tannheim is a lovely little mountain village, a great base for exploring the valley. Everything is close by, and you can easily get around without a car. There are also cable cars and lifts for hikers and/or skiers, but without the extreme downhill skiing. The valley is particularly popular with cross-country skiers. I always enjoy coming back for the balloon festival.

Great modern rooms and a perfect location to enjoy the amazing region of the Thannheimer Tal. Just a short walk from the Neunerköpfle cable car to ski or hike in summer and a great starting point for walks, hikes & nordic skiing. Very good breakfast options and extremely spacious and nicely designed rooms. The private sauna on the balcony is amazing and the hotel has many nice add-ons such as a little to go bar for drinks and snacks. Great mix between holiday apartment and hotel room.

The location of the apartment is great, close to the stop of the Vilsalp Bahn. The center of Tannheim is also just 500 meters by foot. I also liked the temperature in the apartment. While it was hot outside, the apartment stayed cool - I was in the ground floor and also had a nice terrace. The apartment is also well equipped with everything you need to cook for one person.

Hohenfels sticks out from the crowd of other hotels due to the excellent quisine. We stayed for a week, and every dinner was superb. They recently added a small, but well-equiped gym.
