United StatesI had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Post am See. A stunning location, welcoming and professional staff, beautiful rooms, delicious food, and of course the berg spa! It really does look like the pictures, even better in fact.
I especially appreciated a honey massage from Laura the masseuse. She was really excellent in my opinion. I feel like I'm still levitating days after.
I don't often say something is 10/10, but for me the Post was an 11!

AustriaWe liked the nice hosts and the beautiful location. The breakfast was good and even delivered to the room and there was a water boiler and coffee in the room for free. We got eggs from their chickens! They allow dogs :) The owners were very flexible and allowed us to check-in earlier for a fee.
We loved being so close to the farm animals and hearing the sheep/goats in front of our window.
We liked having a terrase door and a small table and chair out front to sit outside our room.

The hotel has been renovated recently and is more modern than most big hotels, yet maintains its small town feel and culture. The room was extremely comfortable and furnished to smallest details. We had a great experience and would recommend it to everyone who is visiting Gmunden.

In November you do not have much to do there.
In November you do not have much to do there. We found only on restaurant and one café house open, nothing else.
I did not get why any (zero!) souvenir shop is not existing there - I am sure tourists would appreciate to buy some small souvenirs and support the local business by doing this.

Very lovely small little town at the lake, it has plenty restaurants with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Suitable for family with small kids like us as it also has plenty playgrounds and lots of outdoor activities such as swimming.

Nice and clean lake - no fish smell.
Nice and clean lake - no fish smell. Water is a bit cold, but that was expected. Mountains around the lake Traunsee look amazing. Lake surroundings were really nice, clean and cared for. Ice-cream at Giovanni's was really tasty.

Fabulous reconstruction of a former bank house. Don't expect an IKEA house, this was designed by an architect. The owner is a person with taste and perspective, who will always willingly help you make the most of your vacation here. If you want to be right in the center of the action and have everything Traunkirchen has to offer within easy reach, there is no better choice.

We hit the jackpot with the location! couldn’t ask for a better spot, surrounded by stunning views. The hotel had a gym and a rooftop terace. Rooms were definitely on the cozy side (read: don’t expect to do cartwheels), but perfectly fine for two people. The bed was good. Bonus points for the elevator, no stair-climbing workout while hauling suitcases.

gorgeous place, magnificent view from the window, silence, beautiful alpine lake, helpful and kind staff, in the morning the hotel owner at breakfast asks each guest how the last day went, the gourmet restaurant is the best on the coast. We highly recommend.

Despite the construction, we personally really liked the hotel. Amazing balcony view, the breakfast was really good and Wirtshaus menu as well. The stuff was friendly.Looking forward to see the upgrade’s hotel.
