Sounds really pedestrian, but Ernst immediately offered us the use of the washing machine and an airer in the sunshine to ‘make sure we were all set for the final two weeks of our cycle tour’… Above and beyond, beautiful, old-fashioned hospitality. We were immediately scooped up and welcomed into the hotel. Wet clothes were taken to be dried, a welcoming drink and an absolutely delicious home cooked meal. Room was basic but immaculately clean.
