It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities...
It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. The rooms are spacious, great bathrooms with towels and dressing gowns for your use. The beds and pillows are soft and comfortable, although the foam mattresses became quite warm overnight. The continental breakfast selection was generous with scrambled eggs and bacon available also.
