I visited Warth 76 with children in December 2023.
I visited Warth 76 with children in December 2023. We rented apartment No. 2 on the ground floor. Both bedrooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and had en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and directly connected to the living room with a large window from which I could watch the children playing in the snow. The house has an underground garage, so I eliminated the morning cleaning of the windshield. There is a sauna available for guests. From the house, I could easily walk to the information office, the ATM, or Spar for shopping. If one doesn't feel like cooking in the evening, one can try the restaurants within walking distance, offering local and international cuisine. I drove to the nearest lift (Steffisalp) within 5 minutes, where I rented skis for the kids and enrolled them in a local ski course. Beginners and experienced skiers alike can choose between the slopes. A further 10 minute drive (or local Skibus) takes you to cross-country (Salober), classic and skate skiing or you can take the cable car from here to the next ski resort, Lech. Warth 76 is the choice for anyone who likes to stay nice and comfortable on holiday, while having all the luxuries of an alpine resort within easy reach. Warth is at the edge of the huge ski-area from Warth, via Lech, Zürs, Stuben and finaly Sankt Anton (all connected). A ski trip from Warth to St. Anton and back (via Zug) will take a day (42km) but is beautifull. Warth is very quiet but there are après ski opportunities (at Steffisalp). I liked the hotel which was super convenient for skiing with a lift less than five minutes away which you could ski back to at the end of the day, also a reliable ski bus to get to other lifts. It is on a perfect location between the second and third section of the Lechweg (starting from the Formarinsee). In addition, we were helped tremendiously by the owners. We booked without much attention to the room and thought we would be able to cook, but could not (which was totally our mistake). It was a picturesque walk along the river and through the forest. It’s a bit further from the main road. We rented an apartment with a balcony, so we could cook inside. It was clean and cosy. Nadine did everything she could, to be able to give us the apartment before official check-in time. We have found everything we have needed in the apartment. Apartment is new and exceptionally big compared to other apartments we have stayed until now. It is very close to 2 ski lifts.
