FAQs about hotels in Adelaide

Adelaide: Australia's Undiscovered Gem

Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

The Torrens River flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.

The coast has some fantastic beaches, with historic Glenelg as a favorite local playground, while further south are the shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car onto the beach.

There are few better multicultural markets than the Adelaide Central Market, or choose from lots of museums and art galleries, some with free entry. The picturesque and historic Adelaide Oval is a favorite for sports lovers.

What Guests Said About Adelaide:

Small city and easy for me to walk everywhere.

Small city and easy for me to walk everywhere. There is some free public transport in the centre but I didn’t need to use it. The Adelaide Fringe was on when I was there and offered an immense choice of free and paid for entertainment. There were also lots of street entertainers so a walk down Rundle Street could always include a stop to watch or listen to a street entertainer. Plenty of places to get a quick snack especially Asian food of all types. Not so good for me as too much chilli for which I now have an intolerance. Also Greek, Italian and other kinds of foods available. If you want a quick museum experience go to the Migration Museum which is free, small and handy if you need to cool down in air conditioning.

Adelaide is a thriving city through Fringe Festival. Very busy and lots of entertainment for everyone. The garden and old buildings are worth a visit - stunning. The public transport within the city boundary (didn't go anywhere else) is great. Highlight the Adelaide Central Market

We enjoyed day trips to the Barossa and Mclaren Vale and really just enjoyed moving up and down the beach area with fantastic beaches and many nice eateries. Only went into the city area once and would stick to the beachside on future trips unless going over for the football.

We traveled to see Tim Minchin at Her Majesties Theatre, absolutely brilliant and the theatre is gorgeous. Did a little shopping in the Rundle Mall and at Harbour Town. Dined at The Kent, lunched at the newly built West Beach Surf Club, and brunched at Cafe La Corp, Stella’s Henley Beach and took time to go to Best Brunch Cafe Australia 2023 Pony & Cole in Hindmarsh, most definitely worth a booking! We adore the ease of traversing the city, the friendliness of service providers and gorgeous weather.

Adelaide itself is a very pretty town and easy to navigate, with lots of trips to wineries and places to eat, just do not stay at the Adelaide Grosvenor as they steal things out of your room. Chinatown is worth a visit but the best place to visit is the markets next door just fantastic for fresh food.

Second time I’ve stayed at these apartments, and hopefully not the last. I just love the proximity to the city, cafes, supermarkets, can highly recommend The Kent Hotel for dinner and Cafe La Corp for light breakfast and excellent coffee. The apartment has all the amenities you could need and the beds are very large and comfortable. You do need an app on phone to enter the building and room so that might not suit some people, but as you can request a key on multiple phones it makes it easy to come and go if travelling with friends.

Very friendly and understanding staff. I had to self-isolate while waiting for my COVID test result as a domestic traveler. The hotel staff was super professional, advised me on the rules and asked me about my breakfast preferences and at what time it should be served. Food I ordered online, as the breakfast was delivered by the hotel staff to my door. All this made the whole procedure so much easier. The room was modern, very clean and had a good view on the Adelaide Hills. I would have stayed longer. Thanks again to the staff!

The hotel was a good walking (or Beam scooter) distance to Rundle Mall, parks and restaurants. There’s also a reasonably sized plunge pool on the top level, perfect for an afternoon dip! The rooms were a great size and abundant with natural light. We stayed here because we were able to purchase a car pass for a secure parking spot down the road. It’s a good option for those on driving holidays that include a stopover in the Adelaide CBD!

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. This was also one of the only hotels that acknowledged our honeymoon with a sweet handwritten note and complimentary chilled bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us when we checked in. Such a lovely surprise and touch! The hotel is located just on the North side of the CBD, with easy walking distance to the city and various parks.

We had a 2BR apartment which was spacious and clean and very quiet. There was a closed in balcony which provided additional noise reduction. Our view of the city streets were lovely. The location was great, within walking distance to all of Adelaide CBD, and literally around the corner from Adelaide Central Market. Close to parks & gardens. The hotel pool & spa had amazing views over the CBD.

The location of the apartment was very central with easy access to the city and restaurants. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, modern and spacious and very good value for the fees charged. We would recommend this accommodation. The one bed apartments are adequate for a couple and the two bedroom apartments are exceptionally spacious and would work very well for a family.

I love staying in this small boutique hotel that has friendly staff, is always clean, in a great CBD location and excellent value for money. I have stayed here dozens of times since it first opened. I also love the heritage facade and the history of what the building original built to house - an orphanage.
