Uncrowned, easy to get about, unspoilt, interesting heritage buildings on every corner, Glenelg is a must, stunning wine country only minutes out of town, lower restaurant prices than Sydney/Melbourne, friendly service, great environment to relax and to de-stress.
Great city with lots of lovely restaurants and bars. So green, clean and organised. Love our visits to the gorgeous beaches which always have great free electric bbq spots which are a brilliant way to picnic with family and friends.
Adelaide was a surprise to me the first time i visited, it reminded me of Perth years earlier, not so busy. Love the houses they are pretty unique to Adelaide. Easy to get around the city as it's very well planned. Worth a tram ride out to Glenelg for the day, you can brows the shops, enjoy the beach or have a drink and enjoy the ocean views, also has a good play area for the kids. Barossa Valley is beautiful so a wine tour is a must do. Treat yourself to a great Italian meal at La Trattoria in King William St, you wont be disappointed. Say hi to Billy.
We enjoyed Adelaide, our main reason for the visit was to visit an Uncle who was turning 90, but we did go for a ride on the Popeye, which we enjoyed, and were glad we got to do it before the weather changed, we did a bit of shopping, walked along the beach, saw a beautiful sunset, so hopefully we will be going back again, and maybe stay a bit longer.
Live in the Southern Fleurieu, Adelaide is my home capital city. For other visitors great place to visit, try the Asians restaurants in Gouger St, visit the Arts & Culture centers on North Terrace, take the tram to Glenelg.
Lots to do and see in Adelaide. Will be returning to Adelaide at a later date to see and do more of what Adelaide has to offer. A HUGE disappointment on this trip was using the sightseeing buses . This is not me. Warning for future users . There is a time frame for all activities on these buses. If you miss catching the bus in the morning don't worry the driver will circle back around to collect you.As my driver did on this day.I didn't realize how many selfish people there are out there. It was very common place to get back to the bus after every activity the tour offered late. Just so they could get a pic by themselves with No others in the picture or walk further to see more . 5 minutes at this stop 10 min at the next stop as the day goes on you have lost 30 minutes plus of YOUR sightseeing opportunities. We all paid the same money.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized spotlessly clean rooms. Nice comfy beds and GOOD pillows. Quiet and working aircon, good shower and lots of storage. Its basic and nothing fancy but its a great price and great value for money for both comfort and location. So close to free city tram stop and a walkable distance to CBD. Restaurant precinct close by. My 87yr old Mum and I enjoyed our stay and came back for a 2nd stay before flying home as it had everything we needed for our visit to Adelaide.

I liked the modern luxurious feel of the hotel room itself, it was very spacious and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is brilliant for a outer city stay with only a short commute to the CBD. The room was impeccably clean and had a real touch of luxury. Check in was seamless and they accommodated me with an early check in as requested. Parking was easy I was lucky to park directly in front of my room. Would stay here again

We loved staying at the Stamford Plaza. Staff were amazing and only too pleased to help. The room was quite spacious with a huge, comfortable bed. There were so many different eating options you almost needn't leave the hotel, but it is so close to a number of eateries as well as the free tram and city loop bus services (only a few minutes from the hotel's entrance), that the whole of Adelaide CBD is readily available to you.

Love it, ive been going to the Links for 18yrs. we stay every time we go to Adelaide. Good people, good tucka, safe place for children. It's cheap and comfortable but not crappy, even the local patrons are friendly and show your room key and get 25% off your meals. It is away from the city but not a million miles. OTR on one side for snacks, BWS on the other for booze, a pizzeria and a Chinese takeaway over the road.

There’s a Subway and McDonnell just opposite and if you like indian food theres a good Indian restaurant within a very very short distance. Rundell mall and shopping outlets are nearby. We had 4 nights stay and it was perfect.
