The room was immaculate with attention to all details. The wet bar and bathroom were stocked with the appropriate amenities. The coolest thing was the blinds closing after we left and opening automatically when we came back into the room. We had a great view of the old church and the park which was very nice. The location was walkable to the mall and train station, which was also a plus. The view of the Oval from the restaurant and bar was great, too.

The reception staff was awesome, very very welcoming and friendly, had a nice chat, got some tips for Adelaide - that's how it should be. Nice room with big windows - there's not much view, but that's not the hotel's fault, this corner is a bit more residential than old town - and therefore also quiet at night. Quiet room, nice beds, everything looks quite new. Walking to the city centre is about 10-15mins, as is to the National Wine Centre. The hotel has a nice restaurant that serves good food for dinner and also a decent breakfast. The car can be safely stored in a garage at an alley behind the hotel.

What Guests Said About Adelaide:

Perfect City for relaxing and excellent locations to visit.

Perfect City for relaxing and excellent locations to visit. Barossa Valley offers a great wine selection and beautiful scenery. Victor Harbour has fabulous coastal views and is a quaint seaside town. Westlakes and surrounding western suburbs have plenty to offer to tourists and Adelaide City Centre is beautiful with historic buildings and churches, shopping in Rundle Mall has a large range of shops to assist with your retail therapy. All places are easy to travel to on public transport. You would be missing out on a great City if visiting Australia and only going to the Eastern States ie Sydney Melbourne and Queensland. Cheers

During our week-long stay, we did a wonderful stadium tour of the Adelaide Oval, attended the NYE BBL match/concert/fireworks display there, attended an NBA match at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, visited some wineries for meals and wine purchases, shopped (including at the Adelaide Central Market and Harbour Town Premium Outlets), and ate at numerous restaurants ... We've stayed in Adelaide several times before during the Christmas/NY holiday period and easily find new things to do each time, as well as re-visiting our old favourites!

Adelaide is a pretty city that has been planned for the citizens. Everyone is happy there. You can get help from anyone. People are polite, walking around is lovely. The beaches are not over crowded and the city centre is well organised. The only downside to Adelaide is the food. If you are a foodie, go to Melbourne. If you are an outdoors person, this is the place to be. Lovely city, but food is plain.

Look – we know it's not Sydney or Melbourne, but then – Sydney has its own attractions and reasons to visit, so does Melbourne – and so does Adelaide. It's a city that's coming into its own – great bars and top restaurants – that are easy to get in and get to – and some of the most beautiful coastline in the country (despite the algae bloom)...the airport is such a breeze to get through and is only 20mins ($20-$30) from the CBD...and this review cannot end without mention of the wineries and cellar doors...and again, so close – the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale ones especially – like having the Hunter and Yarra Valleys on your doorstep...

Previous experience of Adelaide was mainly as a place visited because of business necessity. This time it was to enjoy the Ashes test cricket and the CBD, and with the lovely weather encountered, both were excellent. There are plenty of good restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes (especially Italian!), and plenty of interest in the CBD and its surrounds to keep the mind active. People are very friendly to both internationals and "inter-staters". On top of all that, it is a truly beautiful city.

Excellent location near Adelaide CBD, in front of a beautiful park. Public transport (buses) available at the doorsteps. Friendly reception staff who were very quick to help/sort out queries. Punctual and efficient room cleaning service. Ample parking space for the cars. Room allocated to me was more spacious than I expected. Can avail Uber eats and other services to deliver food items from many CBD and surrounding hotels at nominal delivery charges.
