Adelaide: Australia's Undiscovered Gem

Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

The Torrens River flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.

The coast has some fantastic beaches, with historic Glenelg as a favorite local playground, while further south are the shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car onto the beach.

There are few better multicultural markets than the Adelaide Central Market, or choose from lots of museums and art galleries, some with free entry. The picturesque and historic Adelaide Oval is a favorite for sports lovers.

    I absolutely loved Adelaide.

I absolutely loved Adelaide. The hills were my favourite, only half an hour from where I was staying. Everything is so easy to get to and nowhere is far away! Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. I hired a car and the roads were easy to navigate and great to drive on. I loved the green rolling hills, the Smokey smell in the hills, the quirky businesses, the homely feel and the cooler weather were all just magical!!!Brighton Beach, Victor Harbor and Semaphore were absolutely breathtaking! The central markets in the city were bustling and mind blowing! Brilliant City ♥️

Adelaide is a beautiful, relaxed city.

Adelaide is a beautiful, relaxed city. We much prefer it to the other capitol cities we have stayed at and the people are warm and sociable. Everything is handy to get to, there are some fantastic places to visit and excellent entertainment at reasonable costs. Many superb restaurants and bars and a visit to "Central Market" is a "must"! The tram to Glenelg is great , so easy reach of a great beach.

Adelaide is the best city in Australia in my view. I love it and would be happy to live there if I did not have family in Victoria. Beautiful clean vibrant city. Easy to get around and lots to see and do. Friendly locals too! Highly recommend going there and to South Australia in general

    Adelaide is a well-planned city.

Adelaide is a well-planned city. There are many festivals, events, historical sites and beautiful natural areas, including hectares of green space & parkland surrounding the CBD itself, with easy access via good public transport system. Food and wine are a big focus of the city and its surrounds. Most people would find things to enjoy at most times of the year.

The convenience to the Adelaide CBD and Adelaide's inner Eastern suburbs. The staff were attentive, friendly, responsive, and yet unobtrusive. The balcony permitted an excellent view of the Adelaide Christmas Pageant, which includes Pulteney Street as part of its route. The apartments are part of Adelaide's historic architecture and the high ceilings and solid construction made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

The location is terrific; tram stop a short walk away which takes you into the Adelaide CBD/Railway station or in the opposite direction down to Glenelg beach. The bed was comfortable, staff were helpful, the room was clean and had everything we needed. There were some great pubs/restaurants/cafes nearby or within a short walk. Views of Adelaide city were a bonus. Would definitely stay again!

Easy check in and late check out for a newly built hotel in a good cbd location close to most of the events and good eateries. Sound proof rooms , comfortable bed , quiet hallways and no slamming doors made it an enjoyable stay with good views of the Adelaide hills . Added bonus of a free bottle of wine for our anniversary was a lovely surprise.

The hotel is a bit old, but the price is very competitive in the CBD of Adelaide, especially the location is very good, there is a free tram not far from the door, walking to Skycity, the Convention Center and the Torrens River are very close.
