Great little BNB with private entrance and dog friendly! Beautifully styled and created. Hosts weren’t home at the time but communication was excellent and I hope to meet them and their whippet on our next drive to Sydney!! Will definitely be back

    It was just an overnight stop returning from Canberra.

    It was just an overnight stop returning from Canberra. The city is relatively large and sprawling and difficult to navigate with compulsory turns etc. Signs pointing to "i" information were confusing, but after I gave up looking for it, I found that it was in the library and quite helpful for maps and brochures of things to do. For someone not familiar with the area, Wodonga (over the river) is much easier to navigate. In the evening I had dinner at the pizza restaurant (in the main street of Albury), but they also have pastas, mains, salads etc, and I was happy with my choice. The following morning I went to Gateway Island, on the Victorian side of the river, planning to do the 4-5 km Gateway Island trail, but actually ended up doing the Crossing Place Trail just over the road which was also 4-5 km with sculptures and information along the river bank.

    The staff were incredibly friendly & supportive. The room was spacious & clean. Location was wonderful. We loved the Botanical gardens - Aurora - Tides of Treasure evening was terrific. We enjoyed our breakfast at ‘The River Deck Cafe’ & a lovely walk. The Monument in the evening was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a picnic by the Hume Dam. Crocodile spring rolls are worth a try at the ‘ 2640 Restaurant and Bar’ Very easy to get around

    The train station and the employee who is full of knowledge...

    The train station and the employee who is full of knowledge about the trains. Loved hearing his information, very informative. Botanical garden light show was excellent. Great price. the Memorial for the war on top of the hill was great. Love Albury and its old houses and history.

    I really liked Albury and surrounding district.

    I really liked Albury and surrounding district. We did a drive around the Hume Weir and stopped at very small towns for coffee, lunch etc. These were charming and the people were very friendly. Most of the old pubs we stopped at had roaring fires going in their dining rooms, which made it very warm and inviting. The wineries are great places to visit and the markets in Rutherglen were very interesting with a great number of stalls. It was very cold however, so rug up. We also toured around the Silo Trail in the area. These were very interesting and in very small townships, which were interesting to see.

    Great Place better when fine whether. Peards cafe restaurant and garden awesome. Gift shop great but bit on the high price side. had the duck salad one day and the pankacks another day real good and excellent pot of tea made with real tea leaves not bags

    We stayed at the Botanical on Deans St.

    We stayed at the Botanical on Deans St. The Authentic Taste of India restaurant across the road was fabulous and the staff were very pleasant. We ate breakfast at the River Deck on Saturday - lovely venue alongside the river. We also ate breakfast at Benedict on Sunday- Best Corn fritters ever. We walked 10 km on the Saturday morning along the river on the Eastern side and 10 km on the Western side to the wetlands on the Sunday. Really lovely. Our accommodation at the Botannical had a spectacular view of Monument Hill.

    We only had one night at the Quest on Kiewa St Albury, but we'll definitely stay the next time we visit. So clean, quiet and modern, and reception staff could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious with a spotless bathroom and kitchenette, which would make for a very comfortable stay for a longer visit. Beds were super comfy with beautiful crisp linen. The hotel is in walking distance to shops and restaurants and plenty of free parking.

    The hotel was ideally located and within walking distance of restaurants, bars, galleries and shopping facilities. The location next to a large public car park meant that, on the weekend, we enjoyed free parking. We didn't use the hotel bar and restaurant but it seemed popular. The decor was pleasant and restful and the staff were helpful.

    The photos of the rooms don't do them justice. They are really cosy. The pub attached to the hotel had excellent meals as well. I was there for a whole week, and having the kettle and fridge etc meant I could also make my own simple meals. Close to Aldi, takeaway and the Albury hospital.
