I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other...
I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other than that it's somewhere to stay and also eat before heading off to the various natural attractions. There was no charm or character. I feel like I missed something. It was just a dumpy, dreary town with the odd boring historical building. The best part of Alice Springs would be the Desert Wildlife Park which was excellent, but I couldn't see that it had anything else going for it.Guest review byRebeccaAustralia - 10.0

We unfortunately encountered 2 days of rain on our 2 day stay. Guidebooks helped us get around and choose activities to do indoors. Alice Springs is a beautiful country town. The landscapes are spectacular along with the smells of the gorgeous gum trees. If you love walking there are lots of walking paths to wander amongst the beautiful landscapes. They made us feel at home on the property. There was a secure lock on the gate and we felt safe when inside the flat even though we have heard that Alice Springs isn’t very safe. The flat is a 2 mins walk from Alice Lodge Backpackers which is a great location for tour/transport pick ups and drop offs. The flat was so cosy and had a lot of character. Be careful of the front gate when driving in. It likes to close itself half way through opening .. the neighbours are pretty noisy until all hours.
