Bribie Beach House, Waterfront directly across the road - Solander Esp, Banksia Beach offers accommodations in Old Bribie, less than 0.6 mi from Sylvan Beach. Private parking is available on site. The house was ideal for children and grandchildren. Across from the beach. Dolphins, fishing, walks. Appreciated the well equipped kitchen as we love to cook. Just ideal for our break.
Although it is a homestay, the area for guests is quite private. The property is very modern and very tastefully decorated. The neighbourhood is quiet and the gardens well-kept, which made walking very pleasant. We prepared and ate some meals in the house and we ate some meals out at local cafes. We visited the Bribie Island Seaside Museum and the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre (both excellent) and we saw a movie at the Twin Cinema (very enjoyable). We enjoyed strolling around the various interesting shops at Bongaree. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere relaxing.
Banksia Beach is a pleasant part of Bribie Island, much of this area has housing beside canals. The entire Island is delightful with lovely sunsets, pleasant walks, family friendly beaches, romantic getaways. The esplanade beside Pumicestone Passage has coffee shops, restaurants for casual dining.
The actual beach in Banksia (Kakadu Beach) leaves soooo much to be desired. But if you're driving, Bongaree Beach more than makes up for it. Really great for water activities and relaxing meals by the sea at the waterfront restaurants there.
Very pleasant outlook at Surf Club enjoying good company & a few wines. Excellent fish meals from Saviges at Boogaree to take back to B&B. New Sandstone Point Hotel across bridge from Bribie a good place to relax & enjoy a dozen oysters.
