The country hospitality of the people was great wherever we went! The varied architecture is amazing. The exhibition at the Art Gallery brought us to Bendigo but the other galleries and shops in the street were wonderful too. Had a great dinner at the Rifle Brigade Hotel near where we were staying at the Bendigo Oval Motel. Lunch next day was at Wholefoods Kitchen - delicious and healthy. Can't wait to return to explore other areas of Bendigo!

I find Bendigo to be a friendly city to visit.

I find Bendigo to be a friendly city to visit. Easy to get around the CBD. On this trip, we attended a car show at the show grounds. A great facility. A Sunday market was also being run. During our stay, we visited two shopping centres and purchased items that we cant get in our home town. Fuel price was very good, Apco and Burg fuel. Had lunch at Burg, staff very friendly and food specials were great. Alder Street fish and chips was that good, we had tea from there twice. Looking forward to exploring more.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They made me feel valued. The room was old and some tiles in the shower were cracked or broken. However, the room was very clean and very well presented. I like to especially mention the microwave oven and the toaster was even clean, something I have not experienced in the last 4 hotel/motels I have stayed in. There was plenty of satchets of coffee and sugar and teabags to last me for my stay and then some. There was even a jug of cold water in the fridge. Carparking was convenient.

Hostess was professional but very friendly, super quick to reply and help before we arrived. On arrival, all was as stated on booking.com and by the hostess. All bedrooms had power sockets in easily usable spaces. Toilet was separate to bathroom which was great with adult family. Lounge is large. Everything is set up for 8 people as described. Host has S&P, some olive oil, tea/coffee, sugar, milk and some fruit already for use. Very helpful. Will stay again on our trips to Bendigo in future instead of in motels.

This is a great little hotel with the addition of a small kitchenette making it easy for breakfasts and snacks. The location is a great base for exploring the area . Very comfortable beds . There is a great little pub and restaurant an easy walk in the next block, and the botanic gardens just next door are good for taking a walk

The cottage was a small oasis at the end of a 4 week work trip where we drove from Melbourne to Adelaide to Mildura, Wagga Wagga, Shepparton and finally Bendigo! Our hotel booking screwed up and we found this cottage at the 11th hour - Sue was a fantastic and responsive host! We couldn’t have asked for a better ending place!

We had a family member at the Bendigo Hospital so we just wanted somewhere close by and affordable to get a couple of hours sleep. The hotel was within a 5 minute drive and there was a lovely little cafe next door to get a coffee the next morning.
