W Brisbane, Emporium Hotel South Bank, and Royal On The Park got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Brisbane.
At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.
Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.
This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the lovable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.
Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.
Booking.com has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.
Our 3 night stay at Kangaroo Point was just right to explore Brisbane. Definitely, take a guided river cruise to learn more about the city's history and view some amazing homes. Easy to catch the City Hopper for free travel. Good place to visit if you like walking.
Great city! Plenty of things to see and places to walk around. Queen St Mall is particularly great! It is in a central spot and so many options around! Definitely check out West End if you are into food from different cultures! Great Chinese food, super authentic! Having lived in Beijing for five years and then traveling to Brisbane after not having authentic Chinese food for the past 6 years, it was a dream come true! Public transportation is super easy and abundant! Also, Brisbane has little pockets citywide of free Wi-Fi so it really helps out tourists who don’t have phone service while they are there!
too noisy - music till late night, buiding noice from early morning nice river and travelling by boat, cangaroo point and south bank interesting historical buildings but covered by skyscrapers not easy to find quiet place good for shallow fun, but not for rest
I travelled to Brisbane to visit the hospital which is in the Wolloongabba area. In the Gabba, you are just there in the city. When I go to the city, it is good to be in the city and not the suburbs. I enjoy the access to Southbank and the main city and to look around the river.
Brisbane is a wonderful City. And coming from a NewSouthWelshman that's a huge comment. My Wife and I enjoy staying in the City and wandering the river and inter-city. We feel safe and the shopping is first rate. Enjoying a late afternoon drink on the river is a must when in Brisbane. We recommend you take an evening stroll along the river at South Bank. And we have not had a bad meal....the cafes' and restaurants in Brisbane have been amazing. Well done Brisbane.
Beautiful city with lots to do. Transport excellent with water taxis taxi's, trains, and e-scooters available everywhere. Easy place to walk around. Great parks and places to visit the River Cruise is highly recommended
Hotel Alpha was a really great place to stay located super close to everything! Definitely the place to be if you're after accommodation within the city heart. All staff were super friendly & helpful + we had a huge room with a really comfortable bed. Also the block out curtains are a huge win if you like a sleep-in or even if you've had a big night out in fortitude valley.
South Brisbane, Brisbane
The amenities are always very well-kept and the apartments spacious. I love the location and the ability to park onsite. I travel to Brisbane often and this is always my number one choice when a room is available. Also! Thrilled that the roof area is once again available - my perfect way to start my day with coffee, a croissant and that view!
Location was excellent - easy 10 minute walk to the city, but just on the outskirts that you wouldn't get the noise and bustle of the CBD. Across the road from The Barracks, and cute little restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is very luxe with mood lighting and an incredibly comfortable bed. Staff were also super helpful!
The best thing about this hotel is the central location in Brisbane CBD and short walk to both Roma Street and Central Train Stations for visitors who are travelling. This is a great location to explore Brisbane city on foot. Huge new TV in room. The room was clean.
Hamilton, Brisbane
Close to the Northshore Eat Street was a bonus, plus Fortitude Valley, Brisbane CBD and Southbank were nearby as well. Had loads of places to go within a short distance of driving. Room was awesome for the price, comfortable bed, aircon was a major plus
The staff were friendly and helpful, everything you need is within five to ten minutes walking distance. This time we took a train to Brisbane but the staff at the hotel are able to provide access to cheap all day parking options if needed.
South Brisbane, Brisbane
Excellent location within walking distance of the CBD, Southbank, buses, trains, and everything else you need. A very spacious apartment for a one bedroom apartment and very clean. Much more than we expected when we made the booking.
The location was excellent. Right on the Brisbane river and next to the Botanical gardens. Walking distance to Southbank and the CBD. The on-site restaurant was very nice, good view and delicious food. Nice view from the room.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The room was gorgeous, so modern and had a beautiful big spa bath! The pool was lovely with great views of the city! It’s a close walk to Southbank and the CBD. Loved everything about it.
Free easycar parking. Very clean and recently updated hotel Great location ,next door to the Princess Theater, walking distance to southbank, cbd and Gabba, numerous eateries in the streets surrounding the hotel.
South Brisbane, Brisbane
Easy walk to West End for restaurants, cafes, pubs, supermarket and unique shops. Easy walk to Brisbane Convention Centre, Lyric Theatre, Southbank, restaurants, etc. Close to transport. Very central location
South Brisbane, Brisbane
Great location in Brisbane close to CBD, West End foodie areas, supermarket and easy to go north south or west. Roomy and well equiped apartments with stylish design and nice to arrive back from your day out.
My wife and I stayed one night for an anniversary, so we could spend time in the Brisbane CBD. The hotel was comfortable, well location, clean and we had a good time. Thank you.
The location was excellent for both the CBD and Southbank. The hotel room was spacious, clean and the walk-in shower was wonderful. The staff were lovely and helpful too.
We had a lovely stay at the Royal on the Park, the room was very comfortable. We were close to the Brisbane CBD, The Botanical Gardens and a short walk to Southbank.
Nth in particular. I don't know why hotels in Brisbane are so high priced. We had to book Turbot because it was the cheapest one near the city that night.
Brisbane Central Business District, Brisbane
The apartments have 24hr reception. We booked the studio apartment, it is small but comfortable with all you need for a couples weekend stay in Brisbane CBD.
Brisbane Central Business District, Brisbane
Wonderful location right in the middle of Brisbane - an easy walk to Southbank. Beautiful building and stylish room interiors. Would definitely stay again!
