Meriton Suites Herschel Street, Brisbane, hotel in Brisbane

Just 328 feet from the Brisbane River, Meriton Suites Herschel Street, Brisbane offer modern self-contained accommodations with a flat-screen TV. Guests enjoy unlimited free WiFi at the property.

The apartment had everything what you need when traveling. It was clean and welcoming. The king size bed with good pillows included. The reception staff were amazing - very polite and accommodating. I ordered dinner since it was too late and everything around was closed. I discussed my options at the reception and was advised on the best way of doing it. There were a pods coffee machine and tea provided. Overall I'm happy with my choice.

Meriton Suites Adelaide Street, Brisbane, hotel in Brisbane

Located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD (Central Business District), Meriton Suites Adelaide Street, Brisbane offer 74 levels of spacious suites with floor-to-ceiling windows.

I was given a room on the top floor after being considerately asked if I was afraid of heights (I am not!) and the view was knock-out. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Brisbane stretching all the way out to the mountains. West facing so sunset was spectacular. Those windows continue into the bedroom and make up one of the walls so the views are amazing from both. I was here for a work event and was sick I couldn't spend more time here. Apartment sized rooms with seperate living areas and a study. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

FAQs about hotels in Brisbane

Sun-drenched & Leafy

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.

Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.

This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the lovable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.

Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.

Booking.com has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.

    Brisbane is overpriced.

Brisbane is overpriced. CBD is a mess at the moment with construction sites everywhere. The restaurants are expensive, though there are some very high quality establishments emerging there. South Bank is a great place for families and couples alike. Best part of the CBD. Howard Smith Wharves are noisy and over rated although there are some great places to eat there. Public transport is unpredictable, People are friendly and the weather is the best. West End, is a great place, diverse, lots of great places to eat and a community vibe. Easy to walk around CBD and South Brisbane. CBD feels safe but needs a complete uplift, very quiet.

The location was perfect, surrounded by different restaurants, not far from the airport and the city or Fortitude Valley. Perfect place to chill. The bed was so comfortable, the pillows were so comfortable, as many hotels that's one thing that I find is not so comfortable. A very friendly neighborhood. The check in and out of the hotel was without any fuzz and was so easy to do. The apartments were peaceful and relaxing. Loved it.
