The staff accommodated an early access to room as I had booked a spa before check in. The room was amazing, so luxurious and funky. Everything was amazing. It was my birthday so was a very special stay. I used the spa, had a treatment, ate and drank on the wet deck. I fully appreciated the 12pm check out. I ordered room service and really made the most of the room.

Sun-drenched & Leafy

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.

Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.

This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the lovable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.

Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.

Booking.com has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.

The Brisbane River is the fore front of tourism in Brisbane, well done the city. Lots of restaurants bars etc, and plenty of foot bridges and trans Brisbane water craft. A must if you are visiting Brisbane is the Breakfast Creek Hotel, Spanish Garden. Here you can eat the best Steak, various cuts, at a reasonable price. If it isn't world famous , It should be. Uber taxis are reliable and wait time is low.

We had a very nice stay in central Brisbane, did alot of walking and taking River taxi's which were very nice and refreshing. We visited many restaurants and tourist spots. Wish there had been a shuttle service from the airport like many cities have which would have been much easier to get to and fro the airport.

Enjoyed Southbank, the relative compact city with its malls, Mt Coot-tha botanic gardens- great view from the lookout, visit to North Stradbroke island and river cruise. Lots of choice for eating out, including the city, South Brisbane and Southbank. Public transport (Translink) is only 50c a ride and convenient way to get around.

Hotel looks new, modern, clean, staff are nice.... Room was very spacious and had a good minibar, nice gin, nice half bottle of red wine. Coffee pods were nice. Good view from room.
