Lovely infinity pool and open air restaurant on the 21st floor, overlooking downtown Brisbane. Abundant restaurants and shopping right outside the hotel. Have not found a hotel that beautiful… in a very long time.

FAQs about hotels in Brisbane

Sun-drenched & Leafy

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.

Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.

This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the lovable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.

Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.

Booking.com has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.

Easy access to public transport. Close proximity to restaurants and food places. Easy to get around; loved the River Cat ferries! The Fire Festival was fantastic. Great variety of shops and eateries. The light up the Botanic gardens was beautiful. The Roma St parklands/gardens were magnificent.

Sadly, Brisbane has gone the way of other Australian cities.

Sadly, Brisbane has gone the way of other Australian cities. First, they made the mistake of building a busy expressway along the river in the centre of the city. Then the developers moved in and replaced many beautiful Heritage buildings with ugly high-rise buildings in various hideous shapes. A few heritage buildings have survived and it is worth getting a brochure from the tourist information office to find them. The highlight of my week in Brisbane was a visit to the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, which is just a short (and very pleasant) bus ride from the city. I also enjoyed the art gallery. I also love the Roma Street Parkland.

    Brisbane is a beautiful city.

Brisbane is a beautiful city. We love it & even my elderly mother has been converted who came for a visit. My mother absolutely loved it, how well placed everything is, how easy to walk to everywhere, especially how clean it is, & the choice of eateries, amazing. She said it is so much nicer than Sydney or Melbourne, her words ! The Wheel, Southbank, restaurants, even the night markets are wonderful. It feels safe to walk around & everyone is friendly & helpful. Having the river & ferries to go to different points is a highlight, we just love it !!

We have been to Brisbane many times and been to all the venues. Brisbane is a wonderful city and well worth a visit. The standouts for us in the centre of the city is the Arts Centre, Southbank, a stroll down Queen Street Mall and a trip on the Citycat. It is easy to get around the river city and it is generally cheap to use public transport.

The hotel location is amazing - conveniently positioned to everything in the Brisbane CBD. The staff at reception are so helpful and courteous, and happily answered any queries I had. The hardworking cleaning staff are friendly and happy to assist with any concerns. Likewise, the staff working in the restaurant on Level 1. The restaurant provided a wonderful buffet breakfast - and a lovely nightcap drink in the evening. Added Bonus: was opening the window curtains to see a fantastic view of Southbank (we were not expecting river views).

Convenience of proximity to the Brisbane Cultural epicentre which was the reason for our stay. Easy walking distance to the Southbank/Brisbane River and also crossover bridges. Rail/bus station nearby. The room itself was so large and well equipped. Large floor to ceiling windows allowing great views. Outdoor balcony to sit and enjoy the cbd sights and sounds. All apps TV access including fox to watch the footy whilst prepping to go out. Large ensuite, kitchen benchspaces, dining table and full compact lounge suite.

The suite was spacious & had great views of the city, Brisbane river & Southbank. The hotel is in close proximity to the Roma Street station which was perfect for us as we arrived & left via train. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the city & Southbank. The staff at the hotel were friendly & efficient. When we requested additional items they were delivered to the room promptly. The suite was well appointed & had a great shower- nice & hot!

There could hardly be a better location in Brisbane. Milton is lovely and is approx 8 minutes by train into the city centre . The hotel is built over the railway station which made it super convenient to get around. There are a number of lovely coffee shops within 1 minutes walk and some good restaurants. Apartments were lovely and we had a spectacular view for miles around.

Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane is conveniently located in the city. A short walk to both Queen Street and Southbank make it a great choice for first time visitors to the city. PLENTY of food options around the hotel, you certainly will not go hungry. Big plus for us is the bed we had was rather firm, aided in a great night's sleep.
