loved our view to the ocean and our location was fantastic, quick walk to the beach or restaurants or to the ocean pool. Loved swimming in the ocean pool!!! Very nice place. After hours check in was very easy. Parking was easy and included. Really liked this place! Yummy breakfast included. Bonus - The Australia Zoo is an easy drive close by!

Guesthouse on Regent was a wonderful find.It is very well located, not far off the Bruce Highway and close to the centre of town and the beach. The welcome was warm and nothing has been left to chance to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed There is a shared kitchen/laundry space, but also a refrigerator, kettle TV, coffee and tea supplies etc in each room. A lovely outside seating area allows you to relax in the sun or dine outside also. I loved the white noise machine with the sound of rain on the roof lulling me to sleep and sitting in the sun to enjoy the optional but very inexpensive and generous optional continental breakfast which I found especially convenient after a late arrival. Even though the bathrooms are shared , don't be put off, as I always found them spotless as they are cleaned and towels, bathmats etc replenished regularly. Michelle was the perfect host and my stay very enjoyable.

Beautiful location close to the beach and restaurants. Some very pleasant coastal walks, great beach and ocean saltwater pool nearby. The complex has a great swimming pool as well. A nice surprise on arrival with a hamper of things to help us enjoy our stay.

    Lovely area lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. Recommend using public transport which was very good and much better than taking your own car. On our next visit we would definitely not book LaPromenade Apartments in Tay Avenue, Caloundra as the only good thing about our apartment was the view. Our apartment on second floor 204 had uncomfortable outdated seating in lounge and old rusty seating on balcony and apartment was dirty when we arrived. Problem with La Promenade is that all apartments are individually owned and the owners of our apartment had done no maintenance, other than buy a new electric frying pan. Bed was comfortable but the shower and shower base, taps and surroundings like tiles and skirting boards were dirty, dusty and lots of hair everywhere on the floor. I had to clean the shower, toilet and bathroom floor which took over two hours until I felt I could use the facility. There was a dirty cupboard in bathroom which was left open and full of dust seemed to have pipes in it. Management were notified of our concerns by email with photos but did nothing and had not checked our apartment prior to our arrival as they claimed they were busy and cleaner had been sick. We had to wait 7 days to get the rug in lounge room vacuumed. Otherwise we had a lovely holiday in Caloundra but happy to go home after two weeks.

    plenty of places to see and visit The weather was perfect. visited Australia Zoo, Go Cart Track, Opals, Montville, Botanic Gardens and Excotic birds in Maleny, Underwater World in Mooloolabah, Eumundi market and the Ginger Factory. Played mini golf quite a few times at the Greg Norman Golf Club. saw a show at the Event Centre. Caloundra is easy to get around. We ate out most of the time. Mooloolabah Surf Club, Kings Beach and Dicky Beach Surf clubs. Power Boat Club, Hoggs Breath Cafe, The Coffee Club and Thai Restaurant at resort, were our main eating places. Thought the food at the R.S.L. was terrible so only ate there once.

    The air museum is worth a visit, especially if you book the flight simulator experience. Nice shopping in Balcock Street also plenty of shopping centres nearby. King Beach Tavern good food. The sundae is huge, six scoops of ice cream with sprinkles, pretzels and marsh mallows. I would share it, too big for one person.

    I use to live over the road in a villa home but moved south to nsw and I wanted to visit my neighbours on my trip to Hevey Bay. A great holiday place to visit and close to Australia Zoo. A great shopping area and markets every Sunday.

    I actually stayed at Kings Beach and the view from my apartment was wonderful. There was lots of walking pathways along the shore line. Although there was much more to see my walking ability was limited. Shearwater apartments were very clean and situated in an ideal position opposite the beach and close to the Surf Club which provides an excellent restaurant.

    This apartment itself is really lovely. The view is FANTASTIC! 👌 It was so nice to have all the little extras included, plenty of tea coffee sugar even tomato sauce, salt , pepper, etc. The location was great. Only a short walk to Bulcock Beach, and a little further along, is Kings beach. Many cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. Caloundra is our go-to place when we want a quick break. We will definitely be back for longer as we do love this apartment (as long as you have a new bed).
