We went to visit Floriade primarily but explored so much more. The War Memorial is a must. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. We drove around the Embassy District which was interesting, checked out the old parliament house as well as the new. So much to see and do. We came many years ago when the children were smaller. They are now adults and busy with their own work and activities. Coming here again at our later age brought great memories, but we are satisfied. Many places are still to explore in Canberra as we age. Regardless, Canberra has grown busy, many more halal food options, and really diverse population can be seen.
